Bed, Bath & Beyond has a big selection of pillows,if that chain is close to you. I bought my favorite pillows at Penneys, a long time ago.

rhizo, pillow shopping has been an ordeal until we found what we think is the perfect pillow for us. DH and I started buying Chaps pillows at Khols two years ago. They have lots of sales , half price often. We have furnished all the bedrooms with these pillows. We were life long feather pillow users but we changed and have been pleased with our selection. If you have a chance look online at Khols to get an idea what they offer. Good luck, hope you find the perfect pillow for yourself.

Funny coincidence, UPS just now delivered a new feather pillow to me that I ordered from Kohl's online. A lot of their selection is not in their stores so I had to read reviews and make a judgment call. I ordered the Royal Majesty 500 Siberian damask stripe white down pillow jumbo size. It was half off and I had $30 in Kohls cash to use so I got it for about $70 plus just a little bit of shipping. I'll let you know tomorrow how I like it. I used to order pillows from the company store but they just are too expensive.

You might like the one I bought a few months ago, a blend of duck down and feathers from Eddie Bauer at Sam's Club. I love it!

I always was a feather pillow person, too. Now I like the support of non-feather better. I know you don't want foam, but I found the most supportive comfortable pillow at Homegoods, of all places, that has a foam core and wrapped in plush fiber.

Every time I get into bed I think how much I love that pillow. It never flattens out or bunches up and gives me great neck support.

BTW, I would never buy a bed pillow without seeing/feeling it first.

You've all given me some great direction. Next week, I'll hit BBB, Macys, Penny's, Homegoods, and more. Heck, I'll even check Costco.

Pillows are one of the few things that I'm afraid to buy on-line. Will be interested in your experience, Flamingo.

Bed Bath & Beyond carries feather pillows too. So if you are close to one go squeeze a few pillows.

I put king sized feather pillows in the pillow shams for show....purhchased at Sears. We sleep on king sized down pillows from Joslins, purchased years ago. My down pillows are kept in zippered slip covers from Over Stock.com.......that's a good place to shop as well....

Allergic to feather pillows - so I look for down alternative. But the amount of stuffing in the pillow has to be considered. Too much and my neck aches - I sleep on my side. So really need to try it. I don't like Memory Foam and the neck pillows are a nightmare for me. I have bought pillows in the U.S. before in desperation - they took up a lot of room in my suitcase...
