In the past I've taped a red velvet ribbon to an interior door, with the ribbon taped at the top and bottom of the door and the ribbon running down the middle of it. I would staple the cards (back part) to the ribbon. After the holidays, I would put them all in a box w/ the holiday decorations. Every once in a while I'd look through them, but usually they just accumulated. Finally I saw a news blurb that said St. Jude's was collecting them. I think that was 2009. So I finally went through all the cards from many years and sent off the ones I thought they'd take. I kept some of my favorites to someday use the front as a decoration or gift tag, as well as some of the photo cards. I didn't send 2010's cards to St. Jude's yet - they're sitting in a pile on my sewing cabinet! I just did a quick check on the St. Jude's site and they still have the recycled card program - and it says they also accept all-occasion cards too. minnie_tx, such a clever idea!!! Oh, I want to make them also. How do you do it? Get a piece of cardstock, cut up the Christmas cards, then use the dots to make them stick up? Oh, please teach me!!!

Wow! I guess I need to look at a calendar more often! I forgot Thanksgiving was so late this year. We usually have at least a week between. I didn't even think about it when I set this up. I do the list as I get the emails which is how you are put into groups. I don't pick and choose who goes where. When I get your email you get added. So the list is ready. How about we see if any more sign up today and I will get the list emailed out tonight? I will post a last call for sign up separately. After I send the list I will post that it has gone out so you know to look for it. Please let me know after that if you didn't get it. I am going to convert the list to a .pdf format so everyone should be able to open the attachment with no problem. If I leave it as a word doc it seems not everyone can open it sometimes. Tami

I'm slow this year,I haven't started Christmas in any form, I'm just now working on Thanksgiving get together! I better get in gear this week. I'm planning on making all my cards again this year.
