Yes, i drive the tractor,:0)I even know how to operate the bucket, but not when i am home alone, and only if i HAVE to,but it is so much fun, really,it is. Hi Janice,i really do not have a problem, it;s just that i have a really big yard,And i need to fill it up,And there are still a few hosta that i Need,And every one here keeps posting pictures of hosta they have ordered,And they are ones i do not have yet,And there are sales now.And i am sick and tired of cleaning up, so i Need,to treat my self,to cheer myself up,ya know?Wouldn't you do the same thing?Wouldn't all of you?Of course you would. How do you like h.Gun Smoke?Pretty nice huh? Carol

Now that would be nice. Just stick it in a pot. Some roses must be easier to root than others and local condition and environment probably play a part in it, too. Or your thumb is really green, maybe the dog had a role in it like it was meant to be :-). If it cools down a bit, maybe in late August, I'm thinking of trying that jar method on a second batch of this year's cuttings and overwinter them. I was thrilled to see that little leaf, but am trying not to get my hopes up too much. I transplanted some other roses, a couple died back then started putting out a few new little leaves then died. In retrospect, maybe I should have pruned them way down. I severely prune roses I'm trying to get rid of and they just put out more shoots. Of the 6 or so I transplanted, 2 have fairly healthy looking leaves and might make it, was hoping for more than that but will take what I get. But we've got some really hot weather coming, and I'm going to have to watch things like a hawk. I did notice one thing that might be important. Of the 6 or so transplants, the one that was the smallest and gets the most shade put out the most new leaves, one other plant that gets more sun put out some new ones, too. The rest look dead, but I'm leaving them there in case they have some roots left and shoot up something in the spring. It seems from my meager experience that fragile, new roses should not be put in a lot of sun until they are stronger and have a good root system.

Tell hubs to stick his pride in his back pocket ... ... stop ... ... and pick it up! What's with getting your wife to do your dirty work? In her p j's, yet ... so the neighbours'd think she was sleep-walking, I suppose! o j

Chisue, When we were in on Tuesday, and she STILL had not been seen by her Dr, since Sat. we were not impressed. We'd asked the nurses when he'll be coming in, and they have no idea, as he does surgeries, and comes in whenever. He did come in Wed. am, and both us, and my brother tried getting info out of the nurses what he said. They wouldn't tell us. Brother lives in Toronto, and he is forceful, but even he couldn't get answers. This whole thing has been not good care from the get-go IMO. When the paramedics first got called, and he looked in her garbage pail and said. Quote !"I've never seen anything like that before!" , and her resting heart-rate was over 130, they should have taken her in. Actually, they DID say, they could take her in if she wanted, but she had to sit in a chair, and wait her turn to be seen. The only way she could be rushed to the top of the line, if it were something dreadful/death-threatening. So we should be glad that she won't be at the head of the line. AND she couldn't get a bed. The paramedics the second time we called, took her in, and stayed with her, on the stretcher. That's what we expected with the first crew.
