Here is a poem I just wrote for you.......maybe not what you want at all, but here it is anyway. I realize that this poem would have to be inside of the can with the gift card?! Teacher, oh teacher, The joke is on you, It took us a while, Then we knew what to do. Inside of the can, Your gift you did find, But that it was there, Didn't enter your mind! So please take this gift, And our Best Wishes too, For a wonderful season, Spent with those close to you! :-) > *** maddya

Bridal Shower Gag Gift from Grandmother

    Q

    Comments (7)
I think gag gifts should be cheap and creative and generally something you "make" (or re-purpose). Do you sew? You could take an ordinary-looking flannel nightgown make it really racy... cut an opening in the back from the bottom to about halfway up (actually cut away some material so that the wearer's legs will be exposed, then edge it with lace and frill it up. Maybe add something like a fluffy bunny-tail at the top of the cut-out? :p Get a small box and fill it with "Do not disturb" signs! :) Edit: Just found this idea on E-How... Make a 'Rug Burn Prevention Kit'. They suggest using a child's plastic lunch box, but you could use anything suitable -- even an ordinary box. Label it "Rug Burn Prevention Kit" and fill it with things like knee pads, knuckle protectors, antibacterial ointment and bandages. (actually, with those contents, it would be a 'rug burn prevention and treatment kit'.) This post was edited by party_music50 on Sat, Apr 5, 14 at 20:47

Make a little KIT. You can crochet this or construct it using fabric.
Inside the kit....place these items and sayings.....

    of control.

to be close when you need it.

Candy kiss: To say "I LOVE YOU" in a sweet way.
Small smooth stone: To remind you that rough times help refine and
    polish...use for smoother tomorrows.
Eraser: To erase any mistakes or misunderstandings that are troubling you.
Note card To send a long-overdue greeting to a friend or relative or
    someone who is lonely.
Recipe card: To make when you want to do something special for someone.
Adhesive bandage: To remind you of healing, perhaps of hurt
    feelings...your own or someone else's.

    These ae wonderful

Recently I found some tiny Chrismas socks that would be an ideal holder for these. I want to use them for gift tags.

Do you have a verse for the Grandparens survival kit and for the parents ( including both parents of a 1 year old)

I'm thrilld with all you have offered.

I have saved the one for nurse. I intend to make a small card with a clip art nurse on the front, the verse inside, and a plastic little bag with the contents, slipped into the sock. I think it should be cute.

Thanks goodness I saved this from a ong time ago. I'm wanting to make a survival kit and I have the printed part but don"t have a list of what goes with each one. Can you help me? This is the list.

To remind you to pick the good
    qualities in everyone, including
    yourself.

To remind you to be flexible.
Things might not always go the way
you want, but it can be worked out.

To remind you to heal hurt feelings,
    either yours or someone elses.

    To remind you everyone makes
    mistakes. Thats okay, we learn
    from our errors.

To remind you everyone needs a
    hug or a compliment everyday.

To remind you that you are worth a
mint to your family and me.

To remind you to stick with it and
    you can accomplish anything

To remind you to list your
    blessings everyday

To remind you to take time
    to relax and go over
    that list of blessings
