Suzan, our rescue group does a lot of bake sales and craft show at this time of year, the first time I ever went I was told to make sure I brought extra sweatshirts or sweaters, socks and boots. I guess there is not guarantee how close a table might be to a doorway or how far from a heat source. I never thought of a blanket, that's a good idea.

Oh, what a bummer, I just die when I get too cold. Maybe you should keep a few of those disposable hand and foot warmers in the car, too?

I really like the stick-on heating pad things, 2 of those stuck to a tight undershirt over your kidneys and you'll be warm all day, even if you're out in the elements. That's what kept me alive when we built our fence during the coldest winter we'd ever had.

Schools are cutting back, just like everyone else... Heat is only on when students are in the building. Auto setback after hours...

cate is right...I know of one university campus that has saved hundreds of thousands of dollars by adjusting the heat/AC when buildings are not in use.

Special requests can be made for extra-curricular events with a little pre-planning by an even co-coordinator. Sounds like someone missed the boat for your craft show.
