I've seen these coupons and even took a $25 coupon to a CC near me and I just could not find a thing which appealed to me. Icky colors, too fitted, etc.

I never use mine either. I have a few things from there that I love. I am willing to pay more for quality, but I don't think the quality is there anymore. Also, I refuse to pay $100 for something that says "Made in China." I got a magazine from them a couple of months ago that said the original owner/designer or whoever was coming back because she didn't like where the line had gone. We'll see. So far, I am not impressed.

Yes, I read sort of a pitiful letter from them that they had jump-started the line, but I sure didn't see it in the store.

I have bought a lot of things online from them lately because I used to really like their clothes. I only buy on sale though because their prices are very high.

After my last order, I won't be buying anything else. Even on sale, the quality has just gone to heck. I can buy three pairs of the same pant in the same size and one will be to short, one will be to small and one will be to big. Really? I have returned almost everything and complained at the store. the sales woman just said "yeah, it's a problem".

I agree, their prices are higher than necessary. I do shop at the one near me occasionally and have found a few things at a good price when they are on clearance. But never $100 at a time. I also go to their outlet store a couple of times a year and again, I've found a few things here and there but not a lot. Plus the coupon isn't good at the outlet.

It's definitely not my favorite store.

I don't buy even sale items there anymore. I don't feel the quality warrants the prices they charge for "junque". Just my opinion.

I am thinking for casual business attire. I need some bad and hate to shop.

I buy a lot of stuff from JCPenney. The quality isn't wonderful, but they have a lot of sales and discounts. I get at the end of the season for cheap.

If you like CC styles, you might check out Chico's which has some similar type of stuff. Also kind of high $ but again, if you hit the sales, you can find some good stuff.

I like to shop at Macy's. They have sales and clearance all the time and a huge inventory so I can always find stuff there for reasonable prices. The trick there is to not even bother looking at the regular priced stuff. Just go straight to the sale and clearance racks. And your best bet is to hit them on holiday weekends or whenever they are having a big sale. I have gotten excellent quality name brands at some great prices.

For size, I run over to Sears(where they have a huge Land's End dept), try the items i'm thinking of buying, then go home and order on-line.

For example, I've lost a lot of weight this past year, went from a size 14 to a 10, and I was looking for a simple knit dress that would go for Holiday dinners and a few club events in Jan and Feb.

Went over to Sears, and they had the dress on display (but not the dark grape color that I wanted), tried it on I liked the look - price was $89.95.

Went home, get on-line and saw a 25% off promotion and free shipping.
Total price to deliver to door was %67.00 !

I don't care for Coldwater Creek either. The things look cute in the catalogue but the fabrics are awful. I love Chico's even though the prices are high. At least they seem to be of better quality.

I refuse to buy from Land's End. Ordered several things for granddaughters last year, had them shipped directly--OK, but nothing fit right, one was damaged and when her mom took them back to Sears, they refused to accept them, even though that is their policy, refused to give her a Sears gift card, and credited it back to my account. I called them and they claimed it was Sears that made the mistake. She did check back again and they told her the same thing. They refuse to accept Land Ends unless purchased there. Now the catalogs go into the trash. LL Bean is better.

I like Land's End too and I've never had any problems returning something from the catalog to my store. I also like LL Bean and Orvis - luckily I have both stores near me which makes it simpler.

When i was in Sears last week, i met a woman in the Lands End dept, who had brought in something she bought online - and was exchanging it.

The connection between Lands End and Sears/KMart is a unique one. Sears provides the floor space (in the Sears nearest here, that space is almost an entire floor of a 2-story store), sales people and accepts the Sears card. The inventory is provided by Lands End,
That's why I never purchase anything there - they nag Lands End customers to get a Sears card NO WAY !

I would not buy from them, tho I was always fascinated by the catalogs that I get. I've thought about ordering a number of times but have since been in a few of their stores and frankly I think the quality is really poor. I'm a Chico's and

I've been finding stuff lately at Maurices. I know this is a teen place but they are getting a few stuff for people that want to look a bit younger but is not made for the younger person. I really like the way their dress pants fit.

I used to drool over their catalog, too, but was always disappointed in the actual look, feel, and quality of Coldwater Creek's clothes versus the catalog presentation. I found a real disconnect between the two. I have rarely bought anything from the store (we have one in the mall).

I am so disappointed with CC lately the quality is mediocre at best and the prices are outrageous. I also think their buyers are out of touch . When I went in there in late April early May I was struck by the extremely uninspiring colors of their spring collection, boring ,drab and dreary.
While everybody was touting the beautiful pinks that were supposed to be the color for last spring CC had blues, grays and whites. I just glanced and walked out the door.

I have to agree about the Coldwater Creek quality really going downhill. For the past few years everything I bought - seams wouldn't stay flat, seams came undone, dye bled, pile wore off, sizing was completely incosistent. It was basically fall-apart clothing after a first cleaning.

No surprise that they closed the store near me. I had stopped buying from them anyway.

I like Talbots, Lands End, LL Bean.

No wonder they're putting all those coupons in the magazines! Don't think it is going to solve their problems!
