Our Navajo guide through Upper Antelope Canyon was short on time, so only 1 lucky guy(DH) got shown this shot. :0) He layed on his back, head jammed agaist the wall, camera lying on his face(Slow shutter speed & no tripod for this one)....to see the rock formation: The Coyote

Several recent pictures of wildlife in and around my yard. A young buck hiding behind some branches A red fox fleeing A cottontail in our driveway, Spot would have been furious and indignant. A frog on our kitchen window and two photos of a species of stinging caterpillars that I've found in the yard.

Happy Father's Day to all you dads and granddads! I've been waiting for these berries to ripen before pulling out the brambles where I don't want them growing. (But the raccoon or chipmunk will probably get them first!) Marcia

I snapped this photo the other day when a small fleet of 7 oyster buy boats cruised the waterway right in front of my house. They belong to hobbyists. I am very envious of the owners of these boats. This area used to be known for its oyster shucking houses. One was within sight of my house until the late 50’s or so. The little island behind the boat formed from mounds and mounds of discarded oyster shells. It used to be totally white and the shells were exposed but conditions in recent years changed and grass has grown. Today wild as well as farm raised oysters are available in nearby waters.
