I just hate hearing this, Patti was always so sweet and kind and positive and I am so sorry for her family. I had a suspicion that things weren't good, or she'd have been here with us.

I'm very sad to hear this. She fought a long battle with her cancer and I'm sure that she kept a lot out of the public eye. She always came across as so positive and full of hope and future plans.

I remember her talking about last year's Thanksgiving dinner; her family was coming to spend it with her and she was excited. I'll have to do a search for those posts.

A sad day. With all that Patti had been going through with Harry and her own health issues, she was always upbeat, positive and supportive to all here. An amazing lady!

I met Patti at a KT get together at her house in Florida about 5 yrs ago. There was Nita_az her husband & cousin, Carol_swfl, Me and my husband and Patti & Harry. She made a wonderful dinner for all of us. Such a good cook! We all had a great day with her.

I just received a message from her niece, she said "After a valiant fight, she succumb to her cancer. She was a wonderful person, loving and kind to all"

Thanks Joann. Sad to hear the news. Another empty chair around our table of friends but their memories remain with us and they remain in our hearts. Patti will now enjoy life eternal.

Oh I just knew that was going to be the case. I was hoping and praying she would show up one day and say What's for dinner? She was one of the nicest friendly people and so kind. She always had something nice to say. I have been missing her and certainly will be missing her still.

Jasdip thanks for posting that link. I really enjoyed re reading it. It still holds true today. She was so funny. It just brings me to tears.

So sorry to know she is gone, but I'm sure she put up a good battle against that cancer. I was looking through my recipes earlier today and found one she had posted that I copied and saved . . Chicken and broccoli casserole. It is extra special now.

Ditto to all the comments about her positive attitude, even with all she was dealing with. I doubt I could match that.

I don't come here as often as I used to but I certainly remember Patty43 and her "What's for dinner" threads.

Although a very sad news, it's a bit comforting to know that she's no longer suffering.

I too think about Patti all the time. She was a wonderful, kind caring person.
Like Raven I searched some recipes lately and her name popped up. It made me tear up to see her name again.

Please feel free to come and visit. Having you here will remind us of Patti.

I loved to read her messages, and to hear her funny stories and comments on things.

I, too, will miss her.
