I've crocheted scarf/hat/purse sets for two of the younger grand-daughters (have one more to do for a new step-grand the same age), and a lot of other scarves, both winter and fashion accessory(I guess that's what you'd call the non-winter ones) for other older girls and women. I'm almost done with one for my son too. Last year, I did them for the littler grandsons, green and gold with Green Bay Packer emblems :-)

Normally, I do. This year I have been busy with finishing up some rather large cross stitch things for my family though. My son left for Basic Training in August and I had been working on his piece for close to 2 years so I really pushed on that one. Now I am rushing to finish up a birth sampler for my niece. I am fast running out of time! I may try for a couple of bookmarks for the ladies I work for at the garden center. But that will it for me. I love what you are all doing though! And I adore the dishcloths. I was gifted with some last year and they are just the best.

I'm knitting 2 "Eternity" scarves for my SILS. Very easy.Last year I made everyone on my list a small knitted Christmas stocking to hang on their tree. If I have time, I'll knit another bunch of ornaments. I'm thinking knitted bells or small sweaters.

jae, I wish I could, but I just made them up as I went along. They are pretty simple, mostly single crochet with a little double crochet on the hats and purses. For the hats, I started out at the top center of the hat, increasing enough to make it lay flat and form a circle. Then when I got it as big as I thought I wanted it, I started decreasing quite a lot to bring it back in to fit the size of a girl's head. I used my step daughter to test the size. They're pretty stretchy so I had a lot of 'forgiveness' in the actual size. I wish I could tell you better.

I do sometimes make jewelry it will depend on how my hands are doing this year. I will definitely try to make my Mom some because when she was here we picked out some really petty jade beads that she liked.

I'm a quilter and try to make something each year, but I have been working on getting things ready for a card party/Chinese auction and might not get to making big gifts....So instead of big quilts, it might be table runners.....

A few Christmas's ago, I made all my 3 sisters, niece and daughter a barbie doll outfit from the Calendar Doll collection. I used their birthstone color for the dress. Another Christmas I made each an afghan with their favorite flowers done in the afghan stitch.

I'm whatever the opposite of crafty may be. I just wanted to share that a friend knit darling scarves for her boy/girl grandchildren. You might want to look for 'Dragon' and 'Poodle' patterns.
