I was really hoping that he would win and he did.

He was our first choice. He certainly has made his mother proud--it's just a shame she wasn't able to be there to see him win.

I loved all the finalists, and the top two were my top two favorites. I was very happy about who won!

(We saw judge Piers Morgan and his girlfriend Celia Walden at Sunday's street fair here in our town. They came into our antique store for a couple of minutes. He seemed like a sweet person, different from his TV persona, and the girlfriend was nice too.)

I was disappointed. Neal has a very good voice, however, I don't think I would want to listen to him sing for 1.5 hours. He is a singer but not and entertainer. I think you must be able to do both. I really wanted Nothin but Stingz to win. I could really watch them that long. They are dynamic and are very entertaining.

Donald will be on Broadway in no time especially since Andrew Lloyd Weber has taken notice of him.

Queen Emily will probably get a record deal as will Eli Mattson. Eli is good but we already have an Elton John.

But let me add, Neal was by far my favorite, he's just not a Vegas show.

But would you have thought a ventriloquist would be able to sustain a Vegas show, before last year? Much as I liked Terry F, I wasn't sure he really had a Vegas act--but obviously the American public IS interested in ALL kinds of entertainment. I think Neal will do very well wiht a Vegas show, and will have hordes of people flocking to see him.

I too think Neal is great but agree that a Vegas Show is not his forte, at least to me.

I always thought Terry could pull off a show on his own, his show is so multi-faceted.

I missed it, completely forgot it was on last night. LOL Although not my fav I thought Nutting but Stringz would be the winner. I was so surprised and happy to read that Neal won. He was my fav from the minute I heard him frist sing. I could listen to him for hours. I'd pay to see his show. Even though I don't understand what he's singing. LOL

Oh I could sure listen to Neal for an hour and a half in Vegas any day! I'm not even an Opera fan but he sure can sing!

I think the magical thing about Neal is that he is so full of emotion yet is so true to his talent that he can power through all the emotion and still sound strong and in control.

I thought it was so cute to see him on stage after his win, holding little Kaitlyn Maher in his arms.

I liked Neal a lot. In fact I liked them all. But I want to adopt that little girl. She could not be more precious.

I like Neal. I think he has a good voice. Do I think he's the next Luciano Pavarotti, Enrico Caruso, Andrea Bocelli, or Johan Botha? Nope. My vote was for Nuthin' But Stringz. Those guys were amazing and put on stellar, energetic and captivating performances...I'm sure being Juilliard trained had a bit to do with it ;o) I see Neal going the way of Ruben Studdard. I still believe Clay Aiken should have won that competition, but Ruben tugged at America's heartstrings, just as Neal did. When voting in a "talent" competition you have to get past the schmaltz. It's the talent, baby. Just MHO.
