I think the thing that won it for Donald Driver was the free style dance; especially the fact that it was the last dance the viewers got to see before voting. Tom Bergeron said at one point during the evening that through the first 8 weeks, Katherine had scored more total points than any contestant ever on the show. That should have counted for something, in my opinion. Just as the judges got the final score on the final dance on Tuesday, the final three couples should have earned extra points based on how many points they scored during the season. And considering how Katherine Jenkins was a virtual unknown in the United States until she did this show (she was primarily known only to classical music fans), for her to come in second is, to me, the same as winning (without, of course, the "coveted mirror ball trophy"). I'm really sad to hear that :( I loved the intensity and grace she brought to the dance floor. I'm also going to miss Maks, he was my favorite pro and a cutie too. Yesterday, I read that Helio Castroneves (race car driver that danced with Juliane and won) was arrested for conspiracy and tax evasion. Was brought into the courtroom in cuffs and shackles, plead not guilty and released on $10 million bail. If convicted of all charges he faces a maximum of 35 years.

I agree that Brooke might win this. But I love Warren! I also agree that the "big" dance number they were all hyping last night was totally lame. The choreography was boring and the dancers were weak. Although the street dancers were great. As for Cloris - well, somebody is voting for her. She's still on. As annoying as she can sometimes be, I think for some people she is representing more than just the dancing. To see an 82 year old woman as active as she is, is something. I should be so lucky at her age. In my personal opinion I think Cloris is more about age and attitude than about the dancing, and I suspect that is why she is still being voted in. Not to say she isn't annoying at times!

Too well I remember the attacks on Jane Goodall when her first research studies from Gombe were mentioned in the press and in the news. You would have tought she was Sheitan himself. Well, some people still do.
