More Prayers for Julius Please!!!

For those of you who don't remember, Julius is the brother of my dearest friend. He's been battling Lymphoma for several months. He had a PET scan last week, went to the oncologist today for the report. MD said that the scan showed new shadows in the groin area. The last round of Chemo almost killed him, turns out that he's in the 1% of cases who can't tolerate that dose of the Chemo Drug they used. They're going to biopsy the areas, if they're lymphomas and don't respond to the reduced dose of Chemo in the next round, they give him approx 2 months to live. Please send your prayers and good thoughts to Julius!!! TIA Mare

Oh, I am so sorry to hear the news about Julius. I pray that the biopsy shows no lymphomas and if so he does respond to the Chemo. I will keep him in my prayers.

Sending prayers your way and find a treatment that will be less invasive to his system.

My youngest DD went through a similar situation about the same time ago. She ended up with a antibiotic resistant infection and sepsis, most likely unrelated to her procedure and spent weeks in the hospital. My best thoughts and prayers for your Ashlee.

Thanks everyone.He is a little less swollen today but have had a hard time getting him out of bed and on his feet.Told him today I didn't want to bury him so he'd better get his butt out of bed! Guess it worked.LOL I know he hurts but he's not doing himself any good staying in bed.His belly looks like someone beat him with a stick on top of over 100 staples!

Thanks for all the prayers. He is not out of the woods yet. Here is the latest and thanks from my cousin. Clare Travis is at the Shriners Burns Hospital. He's getting the best care. We were told they won't know the full extent of his burns for at least 48 to 72 hours. It takes that long for burns "to declare themselves". He's having surgery Friday just to clean out 3rd degree burns on his right shoulder and upper back. Most of the burns seem to be 2nd and should heal by themselves. The only skin grafting would be in the area of those 3rd degree burns. All of the burns are in his upper body, neck and face. There's nothing below his chest. The good news is that Travis is very healthy and is in "stable" condition. Thank you so much for your prayers. You're the best!

Mare- I'm so sorry this is happening. I'll remember Julius and his family in my prayers and hope he beats this. I'm sure this is hard on you too.

I am praying for Julius and his family. We will be having a scan on the 22 to see if the chemo is helping Jim.

Yes, and I'm so sorry Julius is having such a tough time. I have a friend with nhl and I always feel worried for him, though it's a slow-growing cancer. Recently, he found out there are some more small growths but the doctors don't start chemo again until they grow. Your friend's brother is in such a tough postition--prayer is it.
