We got a kitten!

His name is Bat. Not a great picture, but he's adorable. Almost 4 months old.
I must say, the Humane Society here doesn't have their process very user friendly, but it was worth it in the end. We got there around 12 and left around 4. Lots of standing in line. There were plenty of people there adopting the free cats (just a $15 licensing fee. Neuter/spay is free, as well as rabies shot and microchip) and dogs as well.

We were allowed to visit 2 cats each. What a tough choice! We narrowed it down to 2, the one we chose and a 6 year old female named Glimmer. She was so so so sweet, but the one we chose was more active.

When we got out to the car, we took him out of the box and put a halter and leash on him. He didn't mind a BIT! He rode in the car awesomely. Calm, content and purring.

Got home, and set his litter box up first thing, I put him in it and he went potty immediately! Put his food and water down, called him and he came RUNNING! He wasn't hungry but did drink some water.

Now, he's snuggled up on the couch with us, enjoying the company and closeness. He's made himself completely at home.

I LOVE HIM!!
