I love socks, too. I like crew height, and most of the socks I get are ones with funny, cute pictures. I have about 10 pair of Halloween socks that I've been wearing all month. I have one pair of turkey/Thanksgiving socks, 4 or 5 pairs each of St. Patricks Day and Valentines, and a bunch of Christmas ones. All those I keep in bags put away until the appropriate season. The rest are assorted cute ones, or wild stripes, etc.

Target has had some, but most of my wardrobe came from Penney's. But they don't seem to carry the cute ones anymore.

My favorites have been Hot Sox. I think I need some more....

I wear socks pretty much 24 hours a day in the winter.

They have to be cotton. Ankle socks. I like colored ones (dark colors like charcoal gray, navy, dk. green, etc). And when buying socks, I ONLY buy them if I can get 2 pairs of the SAME style/color--that way, when one gets lost in the wash, you've still got a pair to wear.

Don't think I bought socks last year--still had plenty from previous years, but I'm noticing that this year things are looking a little sparse, so I'll need to pick some up soon. It's just getting harder and harder to find the cotton ones I like--can't stand the ones with a lot of man-made fiber or elastic in them.

I do wear the trouser knee highs when I 'dress up' (I only wear slacks, never dresses any more).

Oh, my favorite socks to wear around the house? Those hospital ones with the tread on the bottom. They're a little thicker, and you don't slide as much in them. I'm always stealing them from people. Last time DH was having a procedure done, I was telling him to make sure to take the socks home, and the nurse gave me a pair, too!

I wear hand knit socks! Mostly made from superwash wool, or the new yarn made of lobster and crab shells.

I also have a couple dozen pair of trouser socks - thinner, in black/brown/blue - for wearing with dress pants.

I wear socks in the winter. Most of mine come from Penney's. I love their Socks to Stay Home In. I wear them around the house with my slippers. I have thick, warm socks to wear with my boots and shoes. My socks are all crew length. Right now I am wearing mismatched ones with wild stripes on them.

In the summer and now I still wear the ankle socks(from Dollar Tree), at Christmas time its definitely "Christmas socks". When its colder I wear the regular socks. I no longer go sock-less.

Mostly I wear the white Gold Toe liners. I used to like ankle and slouch socks, but I had a problem with swollen ankles the past few years so I had to get rid of all of those.

In the house in the summer I usually go barefoot, in the winter I wear socks (live in Colorado). My SIL gave me a
bunch of socks once and I started wearing them, now I find them very comfortable. I have lots of colors and styles too.

I love socks too! I knit them for myself and my sister. Just bought a few more pairs which I really don't need. They're so irresistable. I wore Halloween socks this week. Here's a pair I made:

I am very,very particular about socks. I buy Gold Toe white, crew length sport socks for everyday wear. For warm winter socks I like the ones made in the US from a company in Vermont. (forget the name, country something) I buy them on sale at Marshall's or TJMAX.

I want my socks to have a high acrylic content so they keep their shape and wick moisture away. I've tossed out all my cotton socks. I also can't stand a tight, binding top.

I buy the cheap fuzzy, stretchy ones to sleep in.

I'm still looking for a really good boot sock for my well developed calves.

Oh and when I skate I don't wear socks, just ankle high nylons.

So now you know all about my feelings on socks.

I don't wear socks in the summer. Just sandals and flip flops.

I LOVE socks, and I LOVE baskets. Have to many of both.

Last week when I had to empty my drawers I realized, I filled two big boxes with socks. Didn't have a clue I had that many.

Fell in love with wool socks a few years ago, and have almost none other anymore. Used to wear mostly cotton ones, but am so much warmer in wool.

Love the smart wool kind, as they just don't shrink any.

my DH likes Joe Boxer socks, me too.

My DD gave me Smartwool socks last year, and I love them. I also like other brands of wool socks from Sam's Club. And of course the beautiful alpaca socks my cousin knits for me!

At work in spring and fall I wear thin "trouser socks." At home in warmer months I wear white cotton crew socks or low-cuts under sneakers, but never with sandals.

Socks12345, those are absolutely beautiful socks... wow.. I wish I could knit.. but alas any kind of needle in my hand seems to turn into a weapon of destruction.. lol.. Do you sell your socks?? I would buy some if you did...

I hate socks and will only wear knee socks when it is bitterly cold.

I too knit socks - I won't wear any other kind - they keep my feet toasty but not hot.On those cooler summer days I wear them too, the lightweight wool wicks moisture away and keep your feet comfortable.
A co-worker told me I "had" to make her a pair - they were "so pretty". When I told her the yarn costs (anywhere from $15 to $30) and my charge per hour would cost $400 - $500 (at $10.00 per hour) she wasn't interested! For me, knitting socks is a labor of love.
