So good to have you back Patti. Well, started out running around town with Cheryl. She was looking for a local groomer for KC but later we ended up taking him back to his old groomer in another town. Visited with Amber and Alyssa for awhile before that. I had a Wendy's chili for lunch and this evening I had some chicken and noodle soup and a brownie. It is getting a little chilly out now.

Today was gorgeous here in Ohio, but the weather guy says the weather will take a plunge soon.

I had a salmon patty, a salad, and something new from Aldi's: Fit and Active frozen entree called Pumpkin Squash Ravioli with vegetables. It was okay, but just okay. I like trying different things.

I bought a rotisserie chicken to use for sour cream chicken enchiladas and I might also make chicken noodle soup with the remaining chicken.

Going to a big Game Dinner this evening. Not sure about the menu, but I know there will be many food stations scattered about the grounds.

I'm getting ready to start a big pot of PEA SOUP, yay! I've been simmering the ham bone for a couple of hours. I've chopped up a bunch of onions, celery, carrots and will cook them up in the ham broth with a couple of garlic cloves. My favorite herbs for this soup are sage, thyme, bay, and rosemary. Robert likes pumpernickle croutons with pea soup, so I'll make a big batch.

I had a lot of errands and phone calls to make today. Met with the contractor first thing this morning, had to run to Lowe's to pick up some mums for table decorations and then on to Walmart for some candy corn (part of the decorations). I'm in charge of our golf league closing luncheon. I won't be here so I wanted to get all my ducks in a row. Some friends will do the tables for me after I planned everything out. Then I went to Home Goods, still looking for things for the new bathroom which I hope will be complete in a couple of weeks.

Just finished washing some windows. It occurred to me that I have a person coming tomorrow with some fabrics to look at for possible window treatments and my windows were filthy. Not good. So this afternoon I grabbed a quiche out of the freezer to thaw and I just popped it in the oven. Will make a tossed salad and that will be dinner tonight.

Mary, yes I was glad to hear the news but he also said he thought I was doing great by being able to drink Boost and eat the soup. He said a lot of people at this stage can't even swallow yet and it usually takes about 6 months after treatments :-( before everything is normal. Ain't that the pits?? I read your posts. Did they find out why you were fainting? That's bad enough, but then a broken femur on top of everything. Poor Mary!!!

Oooh, Glenda, that all sounds delish--especially the peach cobbler. I was thinking about your new car and remembered that every time we'd get a new one, I'd lose it in the parking lot---because I'm looking for the old car which is a different color, make and model. Duh! I'd even do that if I took the truck to town instead of the car. Anyone else ever do that?

Shirley, sorry the ravioli wasn't good. But the rest of your dinner sounds yummy! We're supposed to have a cold front come through later this week and get down into the 70's during the day and 50's at night. Still OK, but I like the 80's better!

Matti, my sister was talking about chicken/sour cream enchiladas just the other day. Aren't rotissiere chickens the greatest? I wouldn't buy one for the longest time because I didn't trust them to be cooked right. I was so wrong!

I have some Hoisin ribs cooking right now, and boy do they smell good, and they don't even have the hoisin sauce on them yet. Will make some brown rice and have some sort of veggie with them. I found the recipe in the coupon ads.

Gosh, Georgysmom, they found a way to make you work even when you aren't going to be there!! I wish we had a Home Goods. My sister stopped and spent the night with me last Thursday on her way to Ft. Myers for the winter and was raving about it. I would probably just get into a lot of trouble if we had one, though!

I worked today. Trying to tie up some loose ends so I can be off on Fri. Going to see Michael Buble in concert on Friday night! I had a ton to do at work & then the auditors showed up for our year-end audit. Came home, loaded the dishwasher (didn't get around to it last night) & am now working on the list of billing info the auditors want.

We're having Mexican stuffed peppers again. I made a ton of the pepper mix so we'll either have them several nights or I'll freeze some, depending on how the week goes. DH could eat the same thing every day & be fine with it. I want some variety but may have to opt for convenience this week.

I am glad to hear your good news, Patti. We had pepper steak over rice and a side of broccoli. Oatmeal cookies for dessert.

Dinner was grilled hamburgers (Kian grilled), french fries..made some "grilled onions" to go on them...yummy dinner..

Just pulled out ..brown butter blondies with chocolate chips..

Back from the Game Dinner. Lovely party! No way any human could sample everything. I think my favorite item was venison enchiladas. They had many different kinds of meatballs- lamb, pork, beef, venison. Chicken bites wrapped in bacon were yummy. They had prime rib, seafood, and paella. There was a gordita station and a salad bar. And, there was a dessert house- milk shakes, bread pudding, berry cobbler, peach cobbler, Nutella filled crepes, mini tarts, chocolate cake and cupcakes.
