I have a collection of pins and brooches as well, I wore one nearly every day when I wore suits to work. Now they grace my coats or jackets. And I love pearls. When it comes to my 'good' jewelry, I usually wear the same things daily.

The only jewelry I really wear a lot is earrings. My favorites are hoops or smaller dangles. I do also have a locket (from Etsy) that I wear quite a bit, but I hardly ever wear other necklaces. Sometimes I'll wear bangle bracelets.

My husband has four brothers, and one of them is a Certified Master Bench Jeweler. Of my five favorite pieces, three were made for me by my brother-in-law. They are my wedding ring, a 5-2/3 carat diamond tennis bracelet, and a diamond pendant that has three 1/3 carat diamonds. The fourth piece is a diamond "cocktail ring" (also called a "right-hand ring"), that has my mother's diamond from her engagement ring. The last is my Tag Heuer watch. I'm always wearing all five.

Right now my favorite piece is the family ring I got yesterday as an early birthday present from my sibling. It is sterling silver with 3 stones a topaz, aquamarine, and peridot. Love it.

I only wear small stud earrings these days. Other jewelry just gets in the way. I never liked things on my wrists, not even a watch. Used to wear rings.

My favorite piece is for sentimental reasons. I designed it myself with the help of a jeweler. I took the diamonds from my wedding rings and my husband's diamond ring and had them made into a pendant. It's much prettier than this photo shows. Another piece I have was given to me by a friend, it was her mothers. It wouldn't photograph well because it is a inverted cameo hand carved in glass with a rectangular gold setting. I took it to a jeweler to have a ring put on it and she was very impressed. She tested the gold in it and said it was more than 18 karat. I offered it back to my friend in case she didn't know it's value and she said keep it.

I'm like you, I break out when I wear jewelry. The one piece I love more then any thing I have ever owned is my engagement ring. I don't wear it much because i break out, but i dearly enjoy it. My wedding band is a plain silver band and at times it breaks me out still,, but i won't put it up.

My husband helps clean out homes after estate sales and gets a lot of costume jewelry from them, but we don't know anyone who wears costume jewelry. Mostly we just donate it to our favorite thrift store.

I should have told you all I am a jewelry addict, but only cheap stuff. I wear it every day even around the house, except for rings. The most compliments I get are on my cheap stuff, like a $7 necklace. I love pretty colors and I guess that is what eyes go to. I only have the one pictured above because no one really wants old wedding sets, I don't care to wear a ring 24/7. I would wear it often as a pendant. Wedding rings would be thrown in a drawer or pawned by an heir.

I had someone on etsy make me a penny bracelet of the pennies I saved with the birth years of my family on them.

Then she also added little birthstone cyrstals between the coins.

The only jewelry I really like are necklaces. I don't wear bracelets, including a watch, rings, earrings. I could imagine wearing a brooch though.

My first good piece of jewelry was a fine string of pearls, which I bought in 1962. It cost a pretty penny even back then. Then, when my mother died in 1990, I took part of my inheritance & bought a heavy gold necklace. When I was still working, I wore both pieces often, but after retiring in 1996, they both mostly stay in a drawer. For awhile, when I first got a computer circa Y2000, I was addicted to vintage necklaces on EBay, bought some, realized that I wasn't going to wear them much either, then moved on. Nowadays, I just oogle necklaces at jewelry stores & craft shows, but don't buy.

My favorite is my wedding ring.

Otherwise, I like necklaces with small pendants mostly, and have and wear several that my kids have bought me. I mostly wear them for 'dressing up' though as I lost one beautiful diamond pendant that my son gave me when wearing it one day. I was heartbroken. Now, I don't wear them as often, but I love them just as much, mostly (I admit) because they are from my kids.

I also like small earrings, but don't wear them often either, because after a couple of days my ears will get irritated.

I have, and do love, a string of pearls and pearl earrings that I bought for my son's wedding. I don't wear them very often but enjoy them for very special occasions.

I have pearls and pearl earrings and a diamond pendant and earrings and that's pretty much all I wear. I wear the diamond jewelry every day and the pearls more when I dress up.
