I have a question about these loverlies.................also a comment................when the dry fuzzies appeared after each bloom was finished, I spread them around and I have hundreds of new baby plants. I was considering two things: gently removing the babies, transplanting them and finish growing them indoors OR: why not just dig up the whole ones plantedand bring them indoors for the winter cheer? Guess I could experiment; maybe ya'll have ideas or even done it already without starting from seeds in Feb/Mar. I may just have to save more fuzzies!!!!

Although all are self fruitful, some require hand pollination, either because of the plant or because yours simply isn't able to attract the right insects. Is it outside? Use a feather and tickle all the flowers multiple times, multiple days. (In regions of China where they have killed all the pollinating insects they do entire orchards this way. It does work.)

Thanks, Sharon, I did a quick "google" and found that there are some varieties that even grow here in my zone 5. Right now, the only things that are blooming here are daffodils: Tulips: Some very early and very small bleeding heart: And the first of the flowering almond blossoms, there are about a dozen on the tree right now, another week or so it'll be full: the crocus are gone and the hyacinth and lily of the valley aren't here yet, but they'll be ready in a couple of weeks. After that, the lilacs. Funny how I have only spring flowers in my yard, nothing in bloom after about June, when the iris finish up. Annie

After creating and saving a Viking Rose file (HUS) which has positions 1,2, & 3 on a 5 x 7 hoop, I transfer it to an Ultimate card. When sewing it out, positions 2 & 3 are always mis-aligned. I have a Vista operating system. I do my customising in VIP Customising (HUS) and Embird32 2010. It makes no difference from which program I save the design, it never stiches out in the proper position (2 & 3) of my 5 x 7 lapped hoop. When I used to have Windows XP and a Viking card reader box, it always worked right. The new computer does not have the old 25 pin hookup, so I cold not use the old box. Is there an adapter which will switch a 25 pin to a USB that will work, or does the Ultimate Box have a fix for this? The Ultimate Box sure does not work!!
