Hello Glenda, I will be going tonight for a Yin Yoga class at a studio here in my town~~it is a slow stretch type of yoga. I go on Monday nights to my Senior Center for Iyengar yoga I have been doing it for 4 1/2 years. What do you all do at the Silver Sneaker's Yoga, I love the name;)

If it's glender it probably involves raccoons in some manner..

Thank goodness, no raccoons~ But we do have mtn lions roaming occasionally!

Our Silver Sneakers yoga was excellent. I need to limber up more.

Not a floor workout, it's for seniors who are slower.

Use chairs and rubber balls, and do yoga movements on a smaller scale.

My first time and I really enjoyed it.

As far as exercising? Well,right now I'm having a tough time lifting and raising this orange cookie to my mouth, putting it back down, then raising the heavy coffee mug.

I have done chair yoga also at my senior center~~I liked it alot, the Iyengar yoga I do we can use chairs, blocks and straps whatever helps us to do our poses safely. We also have chair volly ball at our center, I am not interested in that but I know alot of gals love it. And they did Zumba there~~~

We don't really sit in the chairs a lot, but for support. Did our facial exercises sitting. That was something, but I understand it gets the blood flowing in the face. And tongue twisters :o)

Really enjoyed the two balls. Used them a lot.

I plan to go next Tuesday.

My exercise is mainly lots of gardening and shopping! They both sound more fun anyway.

I have been doing yoga about every day of my life for the past 30 years. It was recommended to me by my PT after I healed from a serious back injury. I follow "Richard Hittleman's Yoga 28 Day Exercise Plan." It is available on Amazon (the original, first published in 1969!) For decades, I have recommended this book, or bought it for people. After you get the 3 routines memorized, it only takes about 20 minutes a day.

I did two six-week sessions of Gentle Yoga at my local library. Waiting for the next session.. I really enjoy it!
