Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Had a girl's day in Victoria. Barb and I had a nice lunch and did a little shopping. And then Moe and I had dinner with Barb and Clif'. Clif cooked. Grilled steaks on his new grill. Good food, good wine and good friends. ~Ann

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Sorry, I haven't been posting at the KT lately. I did try a few times last week but was unable to log on, I kept getting a blank page except for the words "text content" Since the beginning of September I have been working on another election this time for Elections Ontario. Same job, interviewing and hiring polling day workers. My last day was yesterday. Today for my birthday I spent the afternoon with my SIL Shelley. Shelley took me out for a birthday lunch and then we spent the afternoon shopping. I picked up a new wireless mouse for my computer. I had to stop by the office before we went out to pick up my computer. One of my co-workers who repairs computers replaced the fan in my laptop so it won't burn me anymore. I was without my computer for 2 days! LOL I made it through though and spent my time reading my ebook - Sherlock Holmes. My friend Kathy took me out for a birthday dinner, a tradition since we have been young teenagers. Tonight we went to a restaurant called Smoke and Spice. I had smoked ribs and chicken wings, corn bread and a side of macaroni and a vodka and tonic. Everything was good. We were going to go to the Casino but came back to my house instead and had tea and cake. LOL I had invites today for a birthday breakfast next Monday, a lunch and a movie during the week with one of my co-workers, and 2 more birthday lunches with childhood friends. All the weight I lost from not eating while working I will probably put back on. LOL I guess I should just eat salads on these outings. My brother Paul gave me a $50 gift card for a restaurant. I bought myself a birthday gift with my election money. I called my brother Ray Wednesday night and had him order me a white Apple Ipod Touch from the online Apple store. I am so excited and can't wait to get my hands on it. I should have it by October 20th. I broke my digital camera so with this Ipod touch I will be able to take pictures and videos.
