After DH's heart surgeon's Mother had triple bypasses done she said it had given her a totally new perspective on what patients & families went through & how they felt.

My brother just had that same surgery last week. They thought he had 4 hernias to repair, but it turned out to be 5. He came home the same day. He's doing very well. I hope the same goes for your dh.

Well, we're home.

It was longer than anticipated, more difficult, but surgeon feels he fixed the whole problem. DH is home, in bed, exhausted (and still feeling the effects of the anasthesia).

Oh, Mscippy--5 in one operation--wow. That's got to be a real challenge! Glad he's doing well. Must be a relief to get all that fixed though.

I will. Hernia surgery scares me, simply because a friend's dad (when I was a teenager) went in for hernia surgery, was sitting dressed on the bed afterwards waiting to go home, threw a blood clot and died. I know it's always a risk when you have surgery, but I've never gotten over that.

I'm glad the surgery went well. Hope your DH has a quick, uneventful recovery.

Thanks again--good to know so many are so many good wishes to him. He's feeling considerably better this morning, although still resting. (at the moment--he'd probably die if he knew I was publicizing this--lOL--he's up in bed, enjoying watching "Cheaters". His one guilty pleasure).

I just hope your DH is a better patient than mine! Glad it's over.
