My 10yr old grandson and I went to an old timber mill and workers' cottages which have become holiday rentals and home to lots of kangaroos and emus which wander everywhere. We bought some pellets to hand-feed them. When we got back in the car, they stick their heads in looking for more food. There were quite a number of the stripey emu chicks as well.
Casey, I love that moss in your picture - it makes a lovely contrast to the red and blue. Beth

One of the mascots of the USAF Academy, this is a Gyr-Falcon named Destiny. This species is native to the Arctic Circle, but Destiny was found in Colorado and likely would not have survived in the wild.
