Be 30 years old again...but with the wisdom I've acquired since then!

Just like Michelle, I'd like some decent memory cells.

This is going to sound arrogant but I don't mean it that way. I wouldn't change anything about me. I am who I am because of my flaws/faults. To change one (or more) of those would change who I am and then there's no telling who/what I would be. No thanks; don't want that.

Michelle's posting subjects to make us think. This one is a good one to reflect upon.

I always put my needs last, so I'd like to make it to the front of the line every once in awhile.

I wish I had a good singing voice. I love to listen to music, I hope when I get to Heaven (hope hope) that God will give me a nice voice, just like one of the angels. Till then, I sound nasal and flat.

My health issues!!!!! Gosh, if it isn't one thing it is another...it is like I have fallen and can't get back up! Sheeezh!!!!!

I, too, wish I had a good singing voice. I know the words to all the oldies but I sure can't carry a tune. I won't share a hymnal with anyone because I sing so badly.

Lol...can I change more than one...I need a few changes...

I need to be thinner or taller (a lot taller..hehe)

I need to not talk too much...

I always need to be a better wife..I don't want any regrets.

I wish I could stop worrying. I have been this way since I was a very young child though so I'm not likely to change, I suppose it's just who I am...

I'd like to be more 'social'. I have genuine interest in people but have a hard time with prolonged 'small talk'.

I also have the handicap of a face that reflects immediately what I'm thinking!

I guess, in that I'm somewhat too old for this game, not much ... I'm pretty well doing what suits me.

As for at I'd like to have changed earlier ... to have been more diligent at lettng my ex- know how much I loved her, how important she was to me. She's been dead for seven years ... but that didn't make much diffeence, for we rarely spoke for the 35 years after we parted when she was alive.

Would like my stomach to be flatter,but don't see that happening anytime soon.I'm not fat,just have that protruding stomach.

I also would like my hair to be the way it was before chemo.yet i'm thankful that i still have and enjoy life.

So as the saying goes"Don't sweat the small stuff,and it's all small stuff".So that's what i tell myself when i start to feel down.

regrets eh OJ..I know,all too well exactly what you mean and where u r coming from.

Jannie--you may think that you sound nasal and flat,but you know,to a deaf person given the opportunity to hear just once,you would already sound like an angel.

I wish I had more confidence in myself. I doubt myself all the time. If I had two wishes the second would be for my health, to be stronger.

To have had the sense when I was younger to use my brain to better advantage, to get more education, to be able to make something of myself.

I've looked this over and this is what I decided.

As far as I know (AFAIK) Short Term Memory can't be changed, so I'm stuck with that.

I used to have a good enough singing voice. No more, but that is okay.

All my needs are taken care of, so don't need to change that.

I do not worry. Never have understood how worry changes/improves anything.

I talk a lot; always have. Love a good discussion. Never pass up an opportunity to make someone laugh, or at least smile. That is a good thing; don't want to change that. I am a very social person. Love people. I guess that is one reason why my front porch is such a magnet to neighbors.

No formal education past high school, but have a "need to know" method of learning new skills.

The ONE thing I would really like to change is my love of sweets. Not going to happen.

I would like to be free of the constant joint pain that has slowed me down considerably. But there is no real way to do that so I live with it.

Guess I'm in the same boat with dees_1. I see we are in the same Zone. Maybe that accounts for it.

In some ways I too, am like Dees...I am WHO I am because of all things that have made me who I am. That being said.... I do wish I had discovered sooner that I really do have opinions and ideas that I should have always been confident enough to express. Some kind of "late bloomer" here.

I would never have started smoking. It gets very tiring, trying over and over again and failing to quit for any length of time.

Dees, no, NOT arrogant, that is awesome that you are in such a great place! Not many people can say that. I like the honesty. And thank you for being one of the few that actually gets me!!!

Like Dee I have reached the stage where I am comfortable in my skin, like myself and have few if any regrets. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I am a testament to that. LOL

The one thing I miss in my life is hearing well. Dealing with my sudden deaf issues has been life altering. I miss being able to hear well. I miss the theater, the movies,live music etc. I miss being part of the conversation in a room full of people. So having my hearing back would be something I would like to change. But then again there are worse things so if deafness is my issue so be it.

On the light side...I wish I could change myself back to when I was 42. I still had my looks and figure. LOL
On a personal trait I would like to change, I wish I wasn't such a cry-baby. I cry when I'm happy, touched, and sad. Then when I'm really angry and stand there blubbering, those in the near vicinity...should run away, because I'm really, really angry and when I can talk over the tears...watch out. Another, LOL.
