Nona, I loved how you "surprised" your kids. LOL I posted while ago on my other thread of Bad Day, that your prayers obviously working again. Fred should be home tomorrow as it looks like the blood thinners broke up the blockage. They want to recheck in the morning but sounded pretty positive today that he's ok. WHEW. Now to get thru doc appt with my Dad, who's 84 and lives with me. Heart disease and kidney disease. He had some tests done last week, has an aortic aneurysm and they want to be sure it hasn't gotten any larger. Plus some sort of doppler test on his legs as he's barely able to walk from bedroom to kitchen. He's really not a good candidate for any surgery, so I am praying they won't say he needs it. Seems like one worry after another around here lately. But I read a wonderful quote earlier and immediately thought of all of you..... A year is a lifetime and how wonderful for you both considering where you were several weeks ago. I will be thinking of you and checking in to see how things are going.

She sounds much better this morning. I told her trying to cheer herself up by riding her friends grandson's razor is not the way to go though, lol. She fell off but is ok well mostly, lol. Will update on her dad after she calls me this evening. They put him in a intermediate care room and gave him a feeding tube so hopefully he will get some strength back with some nutrition. He hasn't been able to eat for about a week now.

Thanks a million, everyone! Reading your responses makes me feel good and brings tears to my eyes. True, we've been worried for Ajay for quite some time now but the way he's facing this ordeal .. well, he's a fighter! He's been in pain for the last two days but it's easing up a bit; in addition to the morphine, he has a painkiller patch that works for 72 hrs. He's also got fever and chills but it should subside gradually. They'll scan him to see what's happened to the tumor and if they like what they see, he'll go home in a few days. Then chemo would continue as before. Thank you again, my KT family, I knew I could count on you ... KT prayers are indeed super powerful! Go KT!! Hugs to all Pranjal
