I do like to watch a series from beginning to end, but not so much in marathon fashion. During the summer, when there's no new programming, I will watch older series an episode or two at a time. It's hard for me to pay attention for very long at one sitting. I might watch 4 - 6 hours on a weekend, but in several sessions in between doing other things.

We like to watch a series beginning to end also. Rarely do marathons, unless we have an empty weekend, then it's kind of fun. We watched the last season of Fringe in about a week. We were sooooo not ready for that last episode!

No, I do not.

I don't but my kids do. They have crazy work schedules and other stuff going on and so if they have a free evening they will binge watch a show.

We got hooked by Breaking Bad a couple of months ago and began watching a couple of episodes every night....more on weekends. It was fun! The Netflix episodes stopped short.....like halfway through the final season.

We'll be binge watching this afternoon, catching up during the BB Marathon on AMC prior to the final episode! First time EVER getting hooked on a television series and have enjoyed every minute.

I do get hooked on a series (right now it's Big Love), but my TV attention span isn't long enough to watch more than one episode a night--and not every night. Maybe 2 or 3 nights a week. After 45 minutes of TV, I usually have to get up and do something else.

We don't binge-watch per se, but we miss a lot of shows when they are aired and we watch when we have a couple of spare hours.

Because of the recommendations here, we've found new favourite shows (Scandal, Suits, Rizzoli & Isles and others). Now we have 3 or 4 seasons to catch up on!! LOL

We sit down to watch one show, and then can't wait to see what else happens, then watch another episode right after. Scandal makes us do that all the time! Revenge is another one.

It probably isn't "binge watching" to others, but I'm trying to get through 5 years of Breaking Bad in my lifetime, so I watch 2-3 episodes per day. I can stream to my ipad and watch in the kitchen while I cook.

That much watching of one program sort of invades my brain, and I find myself thinking about it periodically even when it is not on. There are questions about people/kids watching violence on TV or playing violent video games, which many do for longer than I watch BB, so those movies and games must be present in their brains when they are not watching or playing as well.

(I posted this on an earlier thread that was created by someone alerting us to a "Katie" talk show episode relating to "Orange is the New Black" on Netflix, but I would be happy to share my TV addictions again! LOL!)

It started with "Grey's Anatomy." I happened to see a rerun and then HAD to start with season 1. I knew about the show, but there was SOOO much coverage of it, and when that happens (whether TV, books...), I tend to not want to jump on the bandwagon. But I got hooked, and I was pumping every source possible to get the DVDs -- co-workers, neighbors, libraries, Blockbuster. I even bought one of the seasons when I couldn't find it for free or cheap elsewhere. (I ended up selling it through Amazon or eBay).

I lose my train of concentration from week to week, trying to remember previous contestants, what got them sent home, what the challenges were, etc. I can watch a whole season in about six hours, after I fast forward through all the commercials and the intro (replay of last week's show) and the end of the show, where they tell you what is coming up next week.
But, then, I have no life. LOL

Sometimes. A friend told me about Breaking Bad so I found the entire series, seasons 1-5, on the Internet and watched all all in a 3 week period - maybe less. It was sooo addicting. I'm savoring the last 2 episodes for when I need a BB fix, but, I'll probably watch them in the next few days b/c I want to find out what happens on the finale.

I did the same thing with Shameless. Can't wait for that to start up in January.

I should get Netflix. I missed the first season of Downton Abbey and won't watch it until I watch the first ones so I am waiting to get the cd's all at once to watch.

I binge watch shows on my computer. I watched each series al separate times of BBC's l the Edwardian Farm. Wartime Farm, Victorian Farm and the Valley farms all before they appeared on our public television, that is what I do when I get up Sunday early Sunday morning. I just finished today watching all the episodes of 1900 House - started yesterday and just finished the last one. Last week I watch the entire season of Frontier House. I love these type of historical reenactment shows.

I have to search Youtube or TV Ontario to find something else to watch next week
