Need creativity: Questions to ask!

OK, my brain is fried, and I need some help from the creative people at the KT.

I belong to a professional organization (both male and female members). A section of our next electronic newsletter will feature questions to help us get to know each other--e.g., conversation starters. We do NOT want "deep" questions, but "fluff." For example:

What's the best trip you've ever taken?

What's the strangest food you've ever eaten?

Can you please, please add to this list? I really appreciate your help, because I just can't think of any fun questions!

Land sakes alive! I was hoping that one person would answer and then it'd be a chorus of "Yep" and "I agree" after that so that there would be an easy answer for us! Thank you all so much for your thoughts! I'm more confused than ever and that's saying a lot :). On Tuesday we met the painter at the house and went over all of the colors. In our "written" list of colors that we'd provided to the builder (weeks ago), we indicated that all ceilings and closets should be "vanilla milkshake", a Porter Paints color. All was agreed and the last thing we did was give all of our phone numbers to the painter so he could call if he had any questions or concerns. DH stopped at the house on Wednesday afternoon and took the photos. He was surprised by the ceiling but after deciding I must have asked for it, decided he liked it a lot. I'm ok with the fireplace end, but not the kitchen end and I think it should be all or nothing. I'll see it in person tomorrow and will let you know....I'm sure we only have a short time to get it fixed. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and ideas! Nanny2a - the lighter color is Porter Paints' True Blond, a copy of SW Blonde. The darker color on the kitchen walls is Porter's Antelope.

The sentimental value of the dress seems to be your friend's, not necessarily her daughter's. She seems to be finding a reason NOT to cut it up even though she says she wants to. Personally I think placing sentimental value on some thing for future generations is just putting a burden on them. How many of us have something socked away that we don't like,have absolutely no use for but hang on to because a previous generation harped on how lovely,valuable,sentimental it was? That stuff is pounded into us from childhood and then we end up being guilt tripped into accepting and hanging onto the item. Then it gets passed on until someone finally has the guts to get rid of it. It's a dress. It's just fabric. The only one it really truly meant something to was the one who wore it. If your friend likes it so much then maybe she should make something for herself out of it. The grands won't care. I'm assuming Great Grandma is no longer with us. If that's the case the grands will never have even known this stranger who left them this this piece of cloth they're supposed to cherish.

Yeah that looks to me to definitely be structural (the entire thing actually). It is basically in the exact same place as the wall to the left of the opening and doing the exact same thing which is holding up the front of your roof.
