Looking to order some Christmas cards this year because we moved I want something cute!Can you post site if you have one to share? thanks :-)

I've ordered from leanintree.com before. Most of what they have is western/wildlife type cards. They also have some cards that are specfic to states. I wish they had Missouri cards cause I'd buy some of those.

I have ordered lots of specialty items from celebrationsbyshelia.com. Look at her site. She can talk to you on the phone about your particulars too.

She did my daughter's save the dates, our wedding breakfast invitations, and our Christmas cards for the past few years. One Christmas card featured our bridal couple's picture under the floral arch as they said their "I do's." I wanted to send that one because I loved the picture so much and I wanted friends and relatives from across the country who were unable to join us to see the happy couple on their special day. She will also address and mail the cards for you if you want.

I ordered two mirrors at the same time, both from homeclick.com. One was a Whithaus New generation mirror, the other a Watermark Loft. Both arrived safely but at wildly different times (Watermark after 2 weeks, Whitehaus after 14 weeks!). Both were well packed, the Whitehaus extremely so, so well in fact I feared I would break it getting it out. The literally entombed the bubble-wrapped mirror inside the box by using some kind of spray-in foam that then hardened. It was a lot like encasing Han Solo in carbonite, only without the instant-thaw wizardry. I finally had to cut the box away and cut through the foam until I heard a bubble "pop" (Oh, that must be the mirror ...). Long story but my advice -- order away. I bought nearly all of my bathroom remodel parts online with few hassles. The only caution is lead time -- sometimes they advertise things they may not have in stock. Most tell you that upfront. Beanthere dunthat, I didn't know that either, and like you, find it very interesting! Palm reading may be easier when reading the palm of someone who's lived, rather than one who is developing. I suspect palms are in a way like DNA, but I've wondered at times if people's palms ever change? Lars you have e-mail. You are exactly right when you said one of the powers of Tarot is to make subconscious thoughts conscious. What the cards suggest are usually good advice, whether we seem to know it or not. Even if it's something I think I know, I always consider the suggestions carefully. Tarot and Astrology are naturally intertwined when you think that each of the suits (Wands, Swords, Pentacles and Cups) also represent Fire, Air, Earth, Water, and the relationships seem more obvious. I had my numerology chart done years ago by my SIL's sister. I should probably dig that out and look at it again, if I can find it. I thought it was fascinating, and think numerology can offer insights as well. I always look to see what the new month/years numbers hold. Thanks for reminding me I haven't done that yet this month!

I don't always send them, but I always intend to! I have been pretty good, a couple years in a row now... Like Bill, I think it's an extra special treat to those who get one from me, the odds are dodgy!! It sure is a feeling of accomplishment, getting those cards in the mailbox. I also write a short personal message, since I don't have kids or photos or newsletters to share. It gets a little tedious to write in each one, but I make sure I have eggnog and carols playing and make it festive. This year I wrote half while watching "Holiday Inn." I like reading the newsletters, even when they are braggy! Usually they are from relatives I don't keep in touch with so it's just a nice record of their year. I don't mind cards that are just signed (always the photo ones) but I prefer the ones with a message! I also don't compare give-to-recieve. I am sure I've fallen off a list or two for the years I missed, but I send cards to people I want to extend a greeting to, not to those whom I owe anything!

In the past I've taped a red velvet ribbon to an interior door, with the ribbon taped at the top and bottom of the door and the ribbon running down the middle of it. I would staple the cards (back part) to the ribbon. After the holidays, I would put them all in a box w/ the holiday decorations. Every once in a while I'd look through them, but usually they just accumulated. Finally I saw a news blurb that said St. Jude's was collecting them. I think that was 2009. So I finally went through all the cards from many years and sent off the ones I thought they'd take. I kept some of my favorites to someday use the front as a decoration or gift tag, as well as some of the photo cards. I didn't send 2010's cards to St. Jude's yet - they're sitting in a pile on my sewing cabinet! I just did a quick check on the St. Jude's site and they still have the recycled card program - and it says they also accept all-occasion cards too. I always get my Christmas cards through the National Wildlife Foundation. I particularly love their captions.

I ordered Christmas cards last year because I was looking for some that had possums on it. I can't think of the name of the site now tho. I know that the artist was Charlotte Terhune.

I ordered some cute ones one year from National Wildlife Foundation. It showed three raccoons opening the door on an old fashioned refrigerator. I had raised three baby raccoons that year and they were always into everything and it was appropriate for me.
