Alisande, just a heads up - Facebook has the same conditions that most websites do. Anything you post on their site gives them the right to use it. And they especially note that anything of yours that is shared by others gives them that same right even if you delete your account: "1 For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it." In a word - yes. I had someone from Australia with my exact same name ask to subscribe to me. I guess she was just going through FB and subscribing to all that had her name. It appeared in my notifications that she was subscribing to me. I made it so she couldn't and also set it so that would not happen again.

Or...you can go to the persons personal FB page and next to the Friends/Message boxes, you'll see a little wheel/gear thing. Click that and in the drop down box, the last thing listed is Report/Block.

"Snowfakes" privacy has to be set to public (globe) which really means no privacy! If a friend likes or comments on anything with the "globe" icon on it (which means it's "public") then it will appear in your newsfeed. If you do the same thing above, then all of your friends will see what you like or comment on in their newsfeed because it's "public" (has "globe" icon). Instead, if you or your friend like or comment on something with the "two heads" icon on it which means "friends" then it will NOT appear on your friend's feed (or your feed). You will see the "globe" or "friends" icon right after the date and time of the post. **To avoid clogging up my friends' newsfeeds with stuff, I just avoid liking or commenting on anything with the "globe" (public) icon. When friends clog up my feed, I unfollow them. We remain friends, but they never appear in my feed. I place them in the "acquaintance" category already set up in your account and go to that list if I want to see their newsfeeds. This is the only way I can easily see them since I unfollowed them. Hope this helps. Can be very confusing! Some people like or comment on too much "public" stuff so I just have to unfollow them and place them on the "acquaintance" list.
