America's Got Talent last night

So who watched? I can't believe they're going down to 4 already. But with so many acts, it would be on forever if they eliminated one a week I guess.

I think the final 4 will be the magician, Defying Gravity (is that their name? btw, I LOVE them), Prince Poppycock (love him too!!) and probably the young girl, although the bike guy deserves it too. What he does takes alot of skill and is very dangerous. I am on the edge of my seat every time he performs.

Who do you think will move on? I think in terms of what act would make for the best Vegas show, my vote is with Defying Gravity all the way. Their show just oozes Vegas, IMO.

I agree with you on who the final 4 will be. I think Fighting Gravity has an excellent chance of winning the top prize, but I would probably vote for either Prince Poppycock or Michael Grasso (the magician). It's a given that Jackie will be a major star, whether she wins or not.

The bike guy is great, but not in the league of the aforementioned four acts, IMO.

I quit watching last week when the judges voted to keep the dancing troup and send Alice Tan Ridley home. I think Alice has it all. Love her voice. I think she's something special.

This is so funny, I've been singing that song all day because of the show last night. I finally get a chance to log in and here is this thread. She was soooo cute, what a charmer. I really loved her parents too. They seemed pretty normal. I loved at the end of her song and critique how she ran to her daddy's arms. You could hear him say he was so proud of her then you could hear her say "thank you daddy". BIG AWWWWWWWWW! The "I'm from America" was great too. The opera singer brought tears to my eyes. Loved him and the audiences reaction to him. Just great.

I do enjoy the variety she aspect of this and sometimes American Idol. But...what I am really sick of when they let someone on who will obviously are delusional about having talent and are embarassed before millions when they tear them apart and put them down for entertainment sake. Especially American Idol, some of those people do not appear to be mentally stable to begin with and I can't imagine the pain they are put through. Am Idol then reruns the "worst" as entertainment. I really no longer enjoy some of these type of shows for that reason, and yes I did watch them at first and laughed at the really untalented. But now it bothers me more than it entertains me.

Shoot, I should have posted. It was on again last night. I thought the judges were a whole lot easier on him than some of those acts before him. They made note of the fact that he was so young and the only one who had never appeared on the show before and didn't know what to expect. I thought Sharon Osbourne was very supportive. (He won the people's choice--the one where we all voted earlier.) He did an excellent job--I didn't care for the song either, but he's so darned cute. That smile is just beautiful! You have every right to be proud and I agree we will be seeing Drew again! If not, he will always have it on tape to show his grandkids :-) For right now--good luck for your football team, Drew!

Can't believe all the anti-taylor sentiment. He was my favorite of all the acts, all season. Colins key? His tricks were very, very simple--I know they came across pretty well on TV, and he is adorable. BUT I used to teach in a summer program where there was a magic class--and I saw 1st, 2nd, 3rd graders doing versions of the exact same tricks--they're easy to do, and easy to teach. Kammi was so annoying--didn't care for the way she destroyed classic songs we all know. The country singer was good, but not quite good enough to win, The opera boys weren't the best I've heard, and they only got together for the competition--I'm betting they'll probably spllit up within a month of completing their AGT commitments. Kenichi was my overall second favorite of the season (truth be told, the little ballroom dancers would have been my 3rd pick, had they made it to the finals). However, regarding Kenichi--of ALL 6 of the final acts, his is BEST suited to a Vegas contract. He could end up being one of those performers who ends up working there for years and years. Such a fantastic talent, and he stages it so very well.

I have my top 4 picks, and I agree with Wanda about the young opera singer. She will have a career no matter what so I'd prefer others to make it to the finals, though she probably will anyway.

1) Defying Gravity (would make for a great Vegas show)
2) Poppycock (would make for another great Vegas show)
3) Michael Grimm (I'd buy his CD in a NY minute)
4) The magician (though last week's trick was too obvious); missed him this week

I think D Gravity will win it all and they deserve to.

As I said on the other thread, my definite favorites are Poppycock, (adore him), Jackie, Fighting Gravity,Michael Grasso.. The rest of them are fabulous as well. The singers are all good but Jackie is a talent that one doesn't see in a lifetime. She is so sweet , lovely, modest and the one of the best singers I ever heard and she's 10!!!That said I also LOVE Poppycock. He is the real Vegas act. The bike act is great too but how much more can he do?. I love Michael too but remember he was wild card brought back. He will perfect his act. Wonderful talent this year.

Our adopted son's biological cousin got tossed from AGT last week. Her name is Ashleigh Dijon. She was the arial act with Michael Dupree. (Remember where they faked her falling??)

It was fun watching someone we know participate. Jackie has a career, no matter what. I love Prince Poppycock. Las Vegas!!
