Not much, really.

Have a batch of tomatoes drying in the oven. Will probably finish making a knitted doll I'm working on today.

Tomorrow, we're meeting DD for breakfast, then we'll probably wind our way back home, shopping along the way if there's anything we need.

Monday? Relaxing? At some point, though, guess we'll have to cut the grass, it's getting a little out of hand.

Headed to the craft show this morning. Over 300 crafters! I try to go every year, but don't all ways make it. I picked up my map Thursday, yes, a map for a craft show, it shows the numbered booths, what their medium is and the crafter's name. This is held outdoors and the weather today is perfect! There is such a wide range of crafter's. May run into my friends and have lunch too.
Then this afternoon there is an open house at a historical home in town. Will try to get there.
I see a nap in my future this afternoon.

Good Morning Marilyn and everyone. It is a bright sun shinny day here in Kansas. It's Saturday which means I fix breakfast of bacon and eggs, do laundry and a bit of cleaning. To me it's just another day except I stay at home. I do my running around on week days when things are not so crowded. I have been working with my desk top wallpaper and my custom made icons and backing them up. Here is my present one.

Kathy, funny, I have a nap on my schedule, too. I didn't sleep all that well and woke up early, so I promised myself a nap.

I have to clean my bedroom. I wish I was one of those naturally neat people, but I am more the mess, clean, mess, clean type. Today is clean! I better get around to cleaning out my closet soon.

I've also been car shopping and need to clean out my car to get ready to trade it in. I hate to part with it. It is my good friend and has seen me through thick and thin. However, it is now 17 years old and I am worried it will break down, so it's time to get a different car. I will cry when I leave it behind. It will feel like I am leaving my loyal pet at the dog pound.

Sunday afternoon is a Block Party on my street. It's more for the younger families, but I enjoy it and I catch up with some of the other old-timers.

I hope this weekend marks the end of hot, humid weather. It's been a stinker of a summer.

I don't have one thing planned. I want to see Hope Springs with meryl streep but I don't know if Im comfortable going alone. I should lock myself in the house and not come out until I accomplish something! Hope everyone has a good holiday. Satine

Nothing special, I bought hamburgers and hot dogs and rolls to make a barbeque for me and DH Monday. Will get corn at the Farm Market Sunday. Tuesday morning I have to bring one of the cars in.

Today starts college football season, so we'll be watching that most of the afternoon. I just finished cutting up a cantaloupe and dicing it. One cantaloupe almost fills a large container. I have another to do when that one gets low :-) Going to hard boil some eggs.

Tomorrow our granddaughter, Katy and her husband from California will be here. I can hardly wait. We haven't seen them since their wedding in April, '11. They'll stay with us until Thursday. On Tuesday, we're taking them to Homosassa so they will leave from there to go to their other grandmother's house for a few days before heading home. Our suites have full-sized kitchens and a nice patio overlooking the water with a picnic table so I'm making the eggs to have for breakfast with orange slices and coffee. She doesn't eat anything with gluten in it. I'm making chicken salad for our lunches and have snack stuff. I may make cookies or muffins for the rest of us. We'll have dinners out. We took our other granddaughter and Harry's DD/SIL when they were here in May. They had a wonderful time and Katy is a really good photographer so she'll enjoy the birds and wildlife. I'm so looking forward to spending time with my Katy!!

Just colored my hair have the colege games on and rotating them. We expected Isaac to really slam us but it dissapated and went all around us and on up toward Illinois. Have to reset the back porch now.Staying off the main roads until after the holiday. Grateful for the little rain we did get and the nice sunny day we have now.

While DH prepared breakfast of SOS, I got a couple of chuck roasts into the crockpot for French Dip sandwiches tonight. DD and sons are coming over for dinner. Closer to dinnertime I will also make homemade butter tortillas for those (ME!) who would rather have a burrito. Also doing laundry today.

Tomorrow morning I will pick another mess of tomatoes and cook up another pot of sauce for the freezer.

Monday? I think we'll rent a couple of movies and just veg before I have to go back to work on Tuesday.

Most of the family camping, we are enjoying the peace and quiet. We do enjoy camping but since selling the trailer not much fun just to go and sit etc. Hubby's health isn't good and he would prefer to just stay home. I went shopping a bit and now just doing my thing.

Visited with friend who is under Hospice care. She was in a chair, hallelujah, and her eyes had a sparkle in them. Unlike the last visit!

I cancelled a trip to my hisg school reunion. The distance was too far (400 miles) and it was goinf to be drenched with the remains of hurricane Isaac.

Today, I attended the "Highland Games" at Waukesha, WI. it was interesting, but I would not recommend it to everyone. Its not that big of a deal.

On Monday, we'll attend the closing day of the Ren Faire at Bristol, WI. Several very good musical groups will be there.

Made some lunch for a friend and her family. She just bought a condo and is moving this weekend....her family is here to help. One more person would just get in the way so I thought I could help best by bringing some food. Today I'm getting a perm and then I will do some ironing. Nothing real exciting.

Today we're celebrating my daughter Suzanne's birthday. She's my oldest child, and she's turning 39. I told her she looks 22, and I'm not kidding.....all that bicycling, skiing, water skiing, etc.

I made her favorite Greek Pastitsio and our traditional family birthday cake, which has a broiled coconut frosting. Her birthday is actually tomorrow, but it was easier to get everyone together today. She was born on Labor Day, too, in 1973.

Lets see...yesterday was a wasted day as I got hit returning home from a haircut. So spent the day talking to the insurance company, renting a car and coming down off the adrenaline. I got side swiped by a woman making a right hand turn and she overshot her lane and hit me broadside. I felt really bad for her. Then I drove myself to Bath and Body Works and got some Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin products as my consolation prize. LOL!

Today we check out the Labor Day sales, and we're going to buy a new LED 60" flat screen, sound bar, and blu-ray player. I can't wait to see Titanic and Avatar in 3D.

I'm going to do some gardening - deadhead the zinnias, fertilize the roses and pull a few weeds. Clean out the bird bath and make up a new batch of hummingbird food and wash the feeders.

Going to watch chick flics and horror movies while I work on my counted cross stitch baby sampler for my neice who is due in November.

And sleep!
