I'm so glad you posted the picture of the grasshopper. I was ssitting on my front porch earlier and one jumped right past me and landed on the window sill. Just sat there about 2 inches long.

Jasdip, I'll guess that it is the bottom end of a duck diving into water for dinner. I still count the common coneflower as a favorite in my gardens

Your lavender Plectranthus is beautiful susanwv! Those 'Mona's seem to bloom forever. Yours is obviously a very happy plant. Great group of photos again today--cool bridge setting, autumn color [sadly lacking here :( ], and fun shots. This neighborhood cat was not very skilled at tree climbing in the first place, and on this day, was getting doubly insulted by an attacking mockingbird. Poor cat; what a rough morning he was having!

Minjeeah - it's a lily, not sure what kind. I purchased it at a small town (Neepawa) about 100 miles from where I live that is famous for their lilies. They hold a lily festival every year, and the Lily Nook sells many varieties. Lily Nook Jim - love your photos of Green Gables. Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite books and I'm currently listening to the audio version. DH and I visited there many years ago, which for me was like visiting a shrine! lol!
