And so it begins. If you look at the stats. this could be anticipated. She will need lots of prayers. Cancer fighting will be her future,for as long as she has that is.

If the show had had superior ratings I think they would have tried to continue with out her, replace her. When they get a winning story concept it survives actor changes. I tried watching a few times but it just never grabbed me.

I read that as well Lindsay. She said that she's more upset with Harry's Law being cancelled, than losing her breasts.

I'm sorry to hear this. I will never understand why they cancelled "Harry's Law". It was a great show. If they hadn't moved it to Sunday night, opposite other good shows (Once Upon a Time and the Amazing Race), it would have had better ratings. Duh!

I like her and most of the characters she plays. She seems like someone we would all like to know. It's nice to see older actresses who have more substance to them.

I am sad to hear that another wonderful person has to be added to our prayer chain. And, I wish I knew the answer to the why's that good shows get cancelled. Seems like to be successful (sit-com wise) shows have to be beyond any kind of real life expectation, as in smarty mouths, bare bodies or overt sexual content....as well as showing young people that it is OK to behave that way. Getting old here!

I've always enjoyed Kathy Bates' performances. I wish her good healing!

She scared the sh!t out of me with her performance in the movie Misery. She is quite the talented person, and likeable, too (except in that movie - LOL).

I do hope she recovers fully. Ovarian cancer is insidious. I lost my sister to that miserable disease.

Harry's Law was my mom's favorite show. She loved it.

The neighbors across from my driveway have a nanny who parks her car directly across from the end of my driveway. There's plenty of other space, but she always parks there, making it hard for me to back out. She has watched me inch out, trying to avoid her car, but doesn't give a damn about my inconvenience.

Every time I back out I am tempted to floor it and smash the bejabbers out of her car. I always think of this scene from Fried Green Tomatoes.

I enjoyed Fried Green Tomatoes also. I watched the bonus features and saw how they picked the location and restored the town a bit. They said the town kept the restaurant open.

She was very good in Dragonfly also.

Kathy Bates is my favorite, I loved Harry's Law.I certainly hope the besr for her.

Dedtired, thanks for posting that clip. I love Fried Green Tomatoes, but haven't seen it in years. And if Kathy Bates is a 9 year survivor of ovarian cancer, which has such low survivor rates, I'm thinking she'll beat the breast cancer.

I just read an article online about the Creative Arts Emmys that were given out. Kathy Bates won for her guest actress role on Two and a Half Men. :-)

We absolutely loved that show the first year.....can't remember when they brought in all those other people but to us that was the downfall.

The show really worked when it was just her...the girl who sold shoes , the young guy and the guy who thought he was the best lawyer made...They all complemented each other.

Bringing in all those others....Nah...

Hope she heals quickly and feels great after that. She is also one of my favorites.

I liked her in "Waiting to Exhale" when she played Terry Bradshaw's wife
