I've been watching Jersey Shore from the beginning. At first I thought, oh, this is a lot like Venice, which I had just left, but now that they are in Miami, the local color is a lot less interesting and much more generic, although I still do enjoy the characters. I don't like Angelina Pivarnick (is that Italian?), and I think it was a mistake to bring her back. I'm much more addicted to the Kardashians, however, and at least I'm very familiar with most of their locations, except for the Miami parts. I guess I need to visit Miami. Lars

I'm not so enamored with Bethenney. When I watch her show all I hear is HER voice for an hour, she does all the talking and if Jason dares to speak she railroads right over him. I don't see this marriage lasting, unless he doesn't mind living with an overly-controlling woman. I forgot till you mentioned it that BRAVO used to air movies! mitchedes...got any stories you'd like to share from your visits to Palm Beach? They said in the movie men don't wear socks even though the rest of their attire is rather formal (suit or blazer). And the women all look amazing because of the plasic surgery, they dress in brightly colored sundresses. Residents don't wear jeans, that's one way to tell someone is a tourist. In the film they introduced a man called a "walker". He is hired by the widows and divorcees to accompany them to charity galas, no hanky panky of course, this is strictly to escort. They also talked about the prejudices at the country clubs. Have you heard of the "Bath & Tennis Club"? This movie delved into all the dirty and juicy details of life in Palm Beach! One thing that surprised me is the amount of money raised for charity HOWEVER the cost involved in putting on a ball is so high the charity doesn't receive that much when it's all said and done. The attendees demand such extravagance a good part of the donations end up paying to entertain them. These are spaghetti feeds, they're fed 5-star meals!

It didn't pull me as quickkly as the other Houswives series, but I am getting hooked. Kat annoyed me at first, but without her the show would be quite dull. I never thought anyone could top Ramona from NY, but Kat wins the prize. I'm not a fan of Tarik and Michaela. Wonder if those grapes were from the grocery store LOL

I do watch. One season of NJ was enough for me though. Even without watch you can't get away from it . NY and OC were my favorites..was about to drop NY but now will see what happens. I liked Alex was also glad to see her open up more ..but you need to pick better battles. I've been wanting Kelly gone since her first season..I've wondered if she's on meds lately or has the Countess been giving her lessons. But underneath she still crazy . Now if they would just get rid of Tamra on OC. This gal's mean and vicious side just keeps growing. I like the BH group best and already see cracks showing.
