Keep in mind colors look different depending on what is next to it. If you have taupe-ish yellowy counters and flooring, i would make sure you choose a white that goes with that as it sounds like you are not planning to change counters right now. White dove may not be a good choice, it may have too much grey in it. I also have warm counters (calacatta marble with a lot of coffee colored swirls) and ruled out White Dove as it looked too grey and dingy next to the marble. I also checked Mascarpone but it was too warm/yellow against the marble. I also went with Simply White and like the color. It is white and in a north facing room should brighten things up. Partially blocked could mean anything from a very thin part to much thicker. The test would have to state how thick the blockage is before worrying if my doctor was not concerned. I would be more worried about the muscles reaction to the statins since I have a friend that can no longer walk because she stayed on them too long. I will not take them because the effect my brain. I will die of something but I would like to enjoy life as much as I could before then.

Thinking about it more though, what bothers me is the lack of guidelines when you receive the information. Having a gene is so far from having a diagnosis, it's not even funny. For instance the BRCA gene. Everyone knows that one, right? Having the gene=having cancer sooner or later in most people's eyes. But that's just not true. Here, let me get the note from the cancer website: It is important to note that these estimated percentages of lifetime risk are different from those available previously; the estimates have changed as more information has become available, and they may change again with additional research. No long-term general population studies have directly compared cancer risk in women who have and do not have a harmful BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation. "different from those available previously...no long term studies". So who hears that part? Take it with a grain of salt part? It's just the if I have the gene, I will have the disease part people think about, then go out and have a double mastectomy. Ugh.

Hi, Arcy, isn’t it nice that we all have choices? I’m quarantining while I wait to find out if I have the virus, because if I DO have it, I don’t want DH to get it, lest it make him actually sick for one thing, but also so he can still work, and so that DS doesn’t get it, lest it make him actually sick, but also so he can finish his degree. I‘m doing this for THEM. One thing I’m learning is, I rarely see my family anyway! DH works at home in his office the last several years anyway. DS is in college and doing classes from home, but even before this year he has done a mix of online and in-person classes, so that hasn’t changed much for him, but now he also has a campus job that is done, guess what?, online, because it deals with a database. I may see DH more now, because I’m home more! I certainly hear him more, because he’s in the kitchen under my room more, and cleaning up. (Maybe he’s learning that, when I load or reorganize the dishwasher, there is a method to my madness. Today I opened it to see that a bunch of plastic containers had flipped over and were filled with soapy water lol. I closed it right back up! Maybe he’s also learning why it bugs me so much that people want to leave their dishes on the counter on the other side of the sink from the dishwasher, instead of putting them IN the dishwasher.) There are families around me who have been badly impacted by getting actually ill from the virus, and I need to be sure that I can visit my mother in her care facility without worrying about getting people sick. I’d hate to be the one who causes one of mom’s caregivers to actually get seriously sick. This I think is important: My mother’s home caregiver is the one who gave her the flu in the first place, which led to pneumonia, which led to hospital and now a care home, almost 3 years ago, so I will do everything I can to keep that from happening to someone else. J didn’t feel that sick, that’s why (darn it) she came to work for her 4-day shift. To be honest, I’m starting to think that getting it is a crap shoot, because people who are so careful still get it, and sometimes devastatingly so. Me, IF I or my family going to get it, I hope it’s later rather than sooner, because the scientists are learning more about what it does, and why, and what to do about it, all the time, and if it impacts us in a major way, I hope by then they can get us better. For some people having the virus is not a big deal, but for others it IS. Until we understand why that is, I’m happy — well, at least willing — to hang out here with my view of the street. But I might have to order a comfier chair. I love my family, and I want them to be well.
