Yes, it flowers in early summer, not very interesting yellow flowers, which are hard to notice given the electric chartreuse background! Flowering is simply not the reason to grow this particular sedum - in fact, many gardeners (myself included) snip he flowers OFF so as not to detract from the foliage. . .It's the powerful chartreuse accent you're after. . .since it's so easy to grow (and propagate!) try it in combination with all kinds of things 'til you find something you really like. I have multiple clumps, some over a foot wide, tumbling over rock walls, creeping out from under low-growing junipers, anchoring flowerbeds wherever I want a striking all-season accent - yes, it holds it's color all winter long, and in the fall, the tips take on a reddish orange tinge, It's one cool plant. . .and I guess you can tell I love it! It is sort of ironic that this board is named "Round Robin" and there are so few round robins on it. I don't know about any rules regarding them, but there may be some. Many have been members longer than I have and may explain this better, but my understanding from reading comments is that there were two problems that came up - the length of time it took for a true round robin to go from person to person and "make all the rounds" (never would work for plants and even iffy for bulbs) and the second issue was a human factor - the robin not continuing to circulate at all or being delayed a long time (even though the inital posting gave a certain time for mailing it back out) or someone taking more than their fair share/everything worthwhile and adding only common seeds, mislabeled seeds, packets with only chaff, spoiled bulbs or whatever the case was - anyway, not something worthwhile. I think there are some small round robins that are done from time to time with regular members. Several years ago I participated in one that was called something like Victoriana (Victorian type garden seeds and things that were handcrafted with a Victorian flair) and it worked really well. That is the only one I have participated in. I have never hosted one and I can't say anything more from personal experience. Those are just some of the things I seem to recall members discussing. Maybe that does more than answer your question... If you are hosting your swap here, it will be great to see how it does. Jeanne

You don't necessarily have to store it - you can leave it in the pot, but like Glenda said,it won't do anything and may appear to die back completely. Don't panic, though -- Garlic goes dormant after blooming and such - then it will show back up in the early spring next year. In fact, mine started putting out leaves in February I think. It just likes cool weather.

I went to the swap about 2 yrs ago or so as a newbie Loved it such nice people but then started college again after 25 yrs talk about having no time to even say boo! I have almost my first year of school( this time ) under my belt now suffering with a itchy green thumb . I bought a tiller so I might become dangerous ( hahaha) Hopefully alot greener around here again. After saying all that I was wondering when is the swap ? But I'm not even sure I have enough of anything to actually swap .
