Hi..hello...how are ya?

Been a while..Yeah..a long while...Life moves forward..some things change some stay the same..

Let's see..Kamren just turned 13.. (Ya I know Glenda and Jodi, where does the time go!)
In Sept, The big one left the nest..but he found his way back in June..I'm not thrilled..but it is what it is..
We were rather enjoying the 4 of us..but you make the best of it and just keep trying to push him back out...roflmao..

Kellan is entering his Jr year..so we are in the college talks...the degree, the life he wants to live era..he's much more motivated than #1.

I now work full time for our school district..which makes this summer off..more enjoyable..lol

I've decided to pop back in and check on you..I've been around a week or so..OMG..that makes me a lurker...so to get the creep feel off my back..I posted..

You will likely see me around a bit for the rest of the month..

Yes, I haven't had any vermiculite around in too long to talk about, but there are no plants still alive here that had that in their pots... Not that it will kill your plants, but like said, it gave me a false impression about the moisture in the pots. If memory serves, it acts a lot like peat but isn't so hard to get wet again once it dries. I feel your frustration about taking the pics. And I so often take a pic while I have a plant separated from the herd, getting a drink, then people say, "it's too wet." Glad this was just an optical illusion. It really looks like the rocks in the pots are swimming in water, puddle in the saucer of the Dief. The moisture on the clay pot looks real though, concerning if it's not looking much more dry very soon. You should be able to adjust the exposure after you put your pics on your computer. Sometimes that's not enough, but helps a lot of my pics look as bright as the scene is in reality. A lot of plants I just have to move to get a good shot of them though. Don't tell DH but I sit a lot of them on the bed for a minute to do it. Hey, that's something. If your plant isn't dry enough to sit on your bed, it's too wet.

Oh, I can't stop looking at her when I am outside! Okie is the first rose to bloom that I deliberately chose and planted. I am anxiously watching the rest to see how they fare. My bodybags are doing well, almost all of them. Lost one right away, so-called Queen Elizabeth is struggling, rest are going like gangbusters. My Heirloom Roses bands arrived in very good shape the other day, and tomorrow their bed gets dug! Irish rose grower and buford, thanks for the affirmation on growing, blooming, and not PM. I didn't think that's what was starting, but wanted to be sure. I wish I had thought to include my hand in one of the photos, because those blooms ARE quite large! Thanks to all on this forum who have given such good, patient advice. Newbies like me are indebted....

Minnie ~ that's a beautiful poem. abiroo and Danielle, my heart is breaking for you. Losing your furbabies is like losing a part of yourself. It was one year ago this month that we returned our beloved Teddy to our maker and 6 months for Bear. The pain is still there, but some happier memories are mingling with the sadness now. Rest in peace dear Oliver and Abbey. June ~ did you ever post about your grandson? If you did, I somehow missed it. Many heartfelt hugs to you for the tremendous loss of your precious grandson. Linda

Ninapearl, you have 2 very sweet looking "non" workers..... My kitten, Baylee, aka "Baby Girl", was a stray...This is what she looked like when she wondered onto our back porch and made herself at home...At 1st I thought she had been lost, being so darn friendly, but after posting lost and found pictures and then the neighbors finding her brother, we determined she was dropped....Thank goodness she found her way to my porch...She is strickly an inside fur baby, has taken over being the "boss" to the other 2 cats and is a complete joy......She's a year old now and much bigger....

Terri, I first remember you at the Recipe/Cooking forum and you were pg.

I still have the boys pictures in my dresser drawer you sent me ever so long ago.

PJR is a senior in high school, and off to college, hopefully next year. Fingers crossed on a baseball scholarship.

Hi! Just saw your post on the dinner thread and was so happy to "see" you. My gosh, those boys truly are growing too fast. I remember seeing pictures of Kamren when he was quite small (and I was a lurker).

Do you like working full-time? I know you worked almost that much "part-time", so at least the benefits are better, or so I hope. Are you in a classroom or the office?

Sure hope you stick around and also hope you share some more of your great recipes. I missed your posts.

Enjoy the rest of the summer. Our school starts here on August 18 for the students.

Glenda..Good luck to Parke..baseball scholarships are hard to come by around here..Kian was offered a spot at a JuCo..but no money..and he was the top player at our HS his last two years.
He wishes he'd went now..he'd be graduating next year..if he had..He misses baseball a lot..plays Softball on a co-ed tournament team..but not the same...but not enough to get focused and do something other than complain..

Patti..I am happy to hear you are trooping right along..
Well I don't need the benefits....last year I was in Elementary..this year it will be Middle School...it's in a class room...not office.. :( but some day one of those will open..I missed two spots last year due to senority over skill being the choice...so all I care about right now..is earning some seniority...gotta play the game..

Terri, I have missed you. Nita was visiting here a couple of weeks ago and I asked if she had heard from you. Boys can be so hard to get out of the house and stay out. I went through that with mine. Now he is grown up and lives 1,500 miles from me and I miss him. LOL.

Hello Donna, Lana and Lydia..

Yeah...not so small any more..Kamren passed me in Jan..and just kept right on adding more inches..
Kian will actually end up the "smallest". He wears Kellan's out grown shoes..
Kellan has bigger feet, but Kian still has about an inch and a half on him. But at just 16 Kellan has a bit more height to put on.
Now Kamren..is the size the other two were around their mid-end Sophomore years..and is going into the 8th grade..

Carol, I peeked at a recent picture of Mio and Jake...OMG they just get cuter and cuter!
Pam, I haven't made Tayberry jam since then...!! And it's my very favorite..I think the farm I picked the berries from..pulled them all out too..
JoAnn, nope not at the MH anymore either...
Just here for the rest of August..we'll see how crazy life gets come Sept 5. :)
