Got the dvr set, it's one of our top favorite shows.

I'm sooooo ready for this. I love the quack pack!

I hate that show. I won't be watching it.

They are coming to Tyler Sept 15 to do a fund raiser for my husband's school. We're getting Willie and Ms Kay. They charge a lot. I can't understand anyone hating that show.

i just started watching this show (reruns) within the past two weeks and just love it. it really is a feel good show. it always makes me laugh, out loud. :)

I even laugh at the re runs. LOL

I don't want to give anything away. But that ending was awesome.

This is just what I needed for this evening.

(Today was my first appointment at the Pain Management Clinic, for spinal steroid injections, since 2-3 years ago . Yesterday I made a blueberry cobbler, to have something ready for this evening while I watched DD.)

Perfect combination. I re-watched the reruns from 8:30 until the new season started. The prep for the wedding was a lot of fun to watch, and great to see the "black sheep" of the family.

The wedding vows were meaningful and sweet, and sounded true, still after all these years.

Scissors, I am sorry that you don't care for the show, but I'm sure you have your reasons. To me It is humorous, uplifting, and I hope bringing a different aspect to TV, where so many of the programs are, to me, not worth watching. I will watch tonight's show again tomorrow.

I watched it for the first time tonight. It was mindless, fun, predictable, and touching. And yes, it's better than a lot of tv shows on now. No shooting, blood, cursing, nudity, sex, etc.

I live in rural Missouri and can very much relate to the Robertsons. Especially since the opening day of duck season is practically a national holiday at our house, according to DH and sons.

I do love that show! Had a very long meeting this evening and was sad to miss watching it.

Ok I confess I cried! Happy Happy Happy! Excellent beginning to the new season. I did hear that Phil will not be in as many episodes any more and I sure hate that, he is my favorite. I guess he gave up some so his oldest son could be on. It's funny, light hearted, clean, entertainment no swearing, no killing, no nudity, tv for the entire family, even the young ones. Not many shows can claim that these these days. Plus it's one of the top rated & watched shows. I think that means a lot of people love it.
Good people, good fun, good entertainment.

I also watched this show for the first time last night. I saw them interviewed on the Today show and was curious to see what it was all about. I loved it. There was no nudity or obscenity nothing vulgar. Just clean fun. The senior couple were so cute and their friend Si was a hoot. The wives all seemed so sweet and truly loved their in-laws. I will be watching more shows in the future.

It's the ONLY reality show which doesn't feature ugly, gross, arguing, cursing people.

We have people coming a long distance to the show Sept 15 that my husbands school is sponsoring. It will kick off their fund raiser for a new elementary school. His school is just unbelievable. A Christian school with teachers that are amazing--every one of them. DH had worked 30 yrs. in public school, so a private Christian school has been a treat. It's a great place, where you feel good just walking in the door. He has a second grade male teacher with a Ph.D. How unusual is that?

I hope it's a great success.

They spoke at my church a few weeks ago. It was a madhouse there. It was like a concert, not a church service. People everywhere, duck calls, lots of camo and DD t-shirts. I really enjoyed their sermons (?Talk?performance?- not sure how to word it) I am not a fan of the show, but they seem like decent grounded people. So much better than Kardashians etc.

Well actually pretty much all of the men of the Bible had lots of facial hair and long hair.
The clean shaved look is much more recent history.
I am not bothered by their appearance at all, but my husband looked a lot like that when we met and when we married. Currently he only has a small mustache which he has had since I met him, never seen him with out it.

Their ministry is great, they are extremely family oriented.

I have never watched the show, but their beards aren't the problem for me. It's maybe the fact that I can't enjoy a show that glorifies killing animals.

I have no problem with their hunting, fishing, etc. That's who they are. My husband's whole family hunts and fishes.

We eat what we kill. We respect nature. We never kill anything just to kill it.

I think this is a wonderful show. I just pray they don't get corrupted. That seems to happen to many people who achieve fame and fortune.

I especially like this show because it so closely resembles my family. I had 4 brothers and 4 sisters. During the Depression we lived in Texas, and the meat on our table at meal time was whatever my DF and DBs had shot, or caught in the river, including frogs. Duck calls and fishing lures were toys for us. I still remember my DF's voice saying Grace at the table.

None of the men in my family had long hair or beards, but my grandfathers did. Styles change. The Robertsons have chosen to stay with that Redneck style.

The present state of TV is degrading and I feel sorry for the young people, to whom TV seems to depict normal people living normal lives, and that will become the life they choose to follow.

Killing animals for food is not to be compared with just killing animals for trophies.

I think any show that proves the industry is full of itshay is a friend of mine.

Producers have tried to convince us that sex and violence are required for viewership and bottom line. This proves otherwise. The american people are starving for principles and limits, but not the kind that is forced upon us. This program is straight up entertainment without preachy politics or manipulation. I LOVE it.

Duck Dynasty just made ratings history: Wednesday nightâÂÂs fourth season premiere was the most-watched non-fiction series telecast in cable TV history.

I watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed.
