Could have been worse, it could have been the toilet! I often wonder how many sets of keys have fallen out of pockets and into the toilet, just as it self-flushes?

It is stained pretty bad, so I am taking it to the saddlemaker down the road, to see if he can do anything with it. Its funnier now than when it happened. LOL

I had a man spill melted butter on my beautiful new saddle bag purse once. It was a grayish taupe color and the stain was so dark. It ruined the purse. In retrospect, I wish now that I had just buttered the whole bag, at least then I could have kept using it.

Could you finish wetting the whole purse, would that even it out?

Would never happen to me because I don't set anything down anywhere in a public restroom.

I once saw a mother hold her child over a sink to pee. I reported it to someone who worked there. Didn't stick around to see if anything was done about it.

This reminds me of a Dilbet cartoon where Dilbert comes out of the bathroom and his bill-fold is a mess. Dogbert asks, "Where are your glasses?" and Dilbert replies, "Don't ask!".

If I had taken the time to hang my bag on the hook, I would have had wet shoes! This was a desperate situation. LOL Flamey, I think you might have had a following if you had buttered the whole thing. LOL I thought of watering the whole thing down, but will give the saddlemaker a look at it first.

Hopefully the saddle guy can make it work. It may be a slightly different shade but he should be able to even out the staining and refurbish the leather.
