Do you like 'em hard or soft?

I like them firm! Firm nectarines, firm bananas (MUST have some green on them!) a firm tomato! firm fruit of all kinds! I don't like ripe ripe fruit! too mushy! blech! I guess I like my produce semi ripe! lol

Of the things listed the only one I eat is tomatoes, and yep I hate mushy,moosy soft ones. FIRM!

I like bananas solid yellow, some green is okay for tomorrow or the day after. I like peaches that you can peel with your fingers. Takes me back to the days when we picked our own peaches by the basket. I like grapes firm and frozen in the mornings.

Air layering has worked for me (Grapefruit and Orange). My concern was not using a root-stock - was wondering if maybe someday some type of bug/fungus could get at the roots. So far (about 6 years) trees show no problems and are actually producing more fruit than parent trees.

How do you get hard face cloths soft again?

I just wash my wash cloths and dry in the dryer, and they're totally soft again--and some of them are 30 years old (most are newer, of course--LOL). Have never had a problem with soap build-up. Maybe try a different detergent? (I use Tide Free, no fabric softener because of allergies). If that doesn't improve the situation, it might be the quality of your water, in which case you may need either a chemical or mechanical water softener to notice any difference.

Kraus Sinks? Do You Guys Like 'Em?

Hi All, I just want to tell you about my experience with Kraus, We purchased the sink, faucet and soap dispenser combo for around $650 no tax. We are very please with the purchase; so far everyone that sees it is impressed.. The sink in nice and deep and the faucet is also very nice, 100% solid stainless steel, led free, UPC certified and works great, what else can you ask for. The sink came in a large box and was packed in a large felt like bag, very impressive and the faucet came in it's own package, packed in a form type box with separate compartments. (It was like opening a Christmas package), We looked at sinks that were much more costly and it looks like Kraus is right on top with their product. Your Whirlpool duet from 2005 is not a waterhog by the standards of the old Maytag toploaders. You are correct that the current crop of front loaders uses far less water than your 2005 Duet. Will they get your clothes clean? Yes, but the wash cycle times have almost doubled from what you're used to. Most of them don't have the soak options or warm rinses that I remember from the old Duets. They are much better balanced, and not nearly as noisy as my 2005 Duet was. As far as a septic system is concerned, I've successfully used that old Duet and a newer LG with no problems other than operator error. You need to make sure you only use an he detergent in the proper amounts. Most of them are already septic friendly. Practigal is right, you need to read labels and call the manufacturer if there is no information on the label. I've found most of my answers in the FAQs. Your septic service provider can give you a much better idea what schedule for service would be right for your family size and the soil conditions in your area. I learned a lot by just asking.

I like a firm, but ripe, tomato. In bananas, I like one that is all yellow, otherwise it tastes too starchy to me.

OK, Kat. 15 minutes in the naughty chair!

I have to eat the bananas left over when they get too ripe for DH. I like them with brown spots on them. Unripened peaches are the pits--they have to be on the soft side. I do like other things firm, though.

Hey Kat - this was a good one, considering my feelings after reading the garbage on another thread around here. Naughty chair is right - but I wouldn't put you there. I'm too busy laughing my a** off. Oh, BTW, I like them firm.

Mostly firm, but I love a ripe, juicy peach or nectarine. No mushy bananas for us, ugh. The greener the better, within reason.

I thought this was going to be about.......... EGGS! lol

Now that I see I was wrong in my assumption of your post, I thought you meant boiled eggs, hard or soft....yeah.
I like mine firm but ripe, not mushy ripe though.

I like my bananas just after they are green, like minutes after ripening. lol Once hey get mushy and/or brown...ICK! I'd have to FORCE myself to eat one like that.

I thought you were talking eggs too. Eggs I like firm, fruit I like softer. Not mushy but definitely not firm or green. I don't like any green on bananas or they taste too tart and "fuzzy".

So Kat, how do you like your boiled eggs? :-)

When I read the title I thought it was going to be about hard or soft boiled eggs! LOL

I like fruit firm but ripe, maybe just beginning to go toward the soft side. I hate unripe fruit. I had a peach the other day that was so unripe. Yuck!

I like any fruit on the firm side. DH always like bananas really ripe..but not mush. I'd buy bananas with still a hint of green. Andy and I would eat on them for a couple of days..DH ate the rest of them.

I'm no prude..but I thought twice about opening this!*S*
