Leftover roast beef hash I pulled out of the freezer, biscuits and some kind of fruit. Now I'm hungry for 7-layer salad :-)

Went to a friend's family orchard yesterday and bought a ton of peaches. Most will get prepped and go directly in the freezer but I'm guessing the first pie will serve as supper tonight. LOL.

Frozen peaches are on the itinerary for this afternoon, if I get the energy up. We had Frozen pizza for the hubby and me and the kids had hot dogs and mac and cheese.

I had a peach for breakfast with my brownie. Peaches are .99cents a lb here. For lunch chili dogs.

We went to the Farmers' Market yesterday. We are having fresh green beans, a sauteed pattypan squash (neither of us has had it before, I had to ask the lady what to do with it) with onions, and a broiled burger patty. I'm hoping it's good, I'm really hungry!

I made some Buffalo goulash tonight.

What is 7 layer salad?

Heather I am not sure if Glenda had the same 7 Layer salad but here it is lettuce,thawed frozen peas, celery,miracle whip and sugar topping over all with shredded cheese and bacon bits on top of that.

We had BBQ'd ribs
Corn on the cob
Cheesey hashbrowns
watermelon

Still have some of Hunter's ice cream cake birthday cake left from the party. I hope they eat it up, I am not a big ice cream eater and DH certainly doesn't need it.

7 layer I had was lettuce, green peas, chopped red onions, bacon bits, sliced radishes,chopped tomatoes, cheese and ranch dressing on the side

DH's birthday today, but he was busy putting in a hardwood floor in the kitchen for me. Was going to grill him a big steak with his favorite potatoes, but he did not want to stop. Instead, I ran out for take-out Chinese. Tomorrow night will be his romantic dinner...Happy Birthday and Thank You! ;0)

I found a recipe if anyone is interested

7 layer salad

1 pound bacon
1 large head iceberg lettuce - rinsed, dried, and chopped
1 red onion, chopped
1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed
10 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped cauliflower
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white sugar
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
1.Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Crumble and set aside.
2.In a large flat bowl, place the chopped lettuce and top with a layer of onion, peas, shredded cheese, cauliflower and bacon.
3.Prepare the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, sugar and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle over salad and refrigerate until chilled.
