It's nice and cool today, and feel like something quick in the oven.
I'm planning on making a tuna/noodle casserole. DH isn't hungry today, so he can nibble on that if he wants, and if not, there's always tomorrow, for leftovers.

Wanted to let you know that I made this cake yesterday. OMG it is fabulous! I started eating it right out of the oven, and had to force myself to stop. Later on after dinner, we heated some up in the microwave and put a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. Incredible. Thank you so much for posting it. One question, is the 9 inch cake pan supposed to be a round cake pan or a square cake pan, or does it even matter? I used Square, and I'm wondering if I should have used round. I know it wouldn't change the taste, but maybe the height. Anyway, thank you so much. It was delicious.

Thanks, Glenda. Oh, was that ever a treat. I think I enjoyed the pedicure the most. That and the chair with the roller than goes up and down your whole back! Ahhh! Now I'm all gussied up and ready to go. We split an Italian sub and had some Muncho's with it.

Ooooh--waffle house--I'm jealous. We don't have them here. We do enjoy stopping there when travelling. Here? Way too hot to cook. DH just left to get one of those $10 Pizza Hut boxes (bread sticks, pizza and cinnamon sticks--who else does SO many different things with pizza dough--LOL). We'll get 2 nights' dinners out of it. Can't beat the price, even if it is a little heavy on the carbs.

Glenda- stuffed bell peppers was frequently made when I was growing up. They're comfort food. They're quite easy to make, but I don't bake mine, which is how they are traditionally made. I make my ground turkey mix, cut off the tops of the peppers, stuff them with the meat and simmer them in tomato sauce for about an hour. The meat turns out very juicy and it's the way my Mom has always made them. I just end up with little red tomato dots all over. I ended up making meatloaf though. Lol

How can I cook when I'm busy playing golf solitaire? If I can drag myself away for a few minutes, we'll have pan fried chicken cutlets dipped in seasoned panko bread crumbs. I have some pasta salad and cucumber dill salad for the sides.

Hi Glenda,
Mine is made with a roux of milk and flour instead of cream soup. Hot sauce, tuna, noodles, peas. Bread crumbs/butter and parmesan cheese on top. Yum.

Tonight is taco's and refried beans. Making extra meat so the guys will have a couple of meals in the freezer for when I am gone. Taco's are easy for the guys to fix. Just need the meat and add the veggies, cheese and sauce.

I already have some unstuffed pepper soup in the freezer for them.

It was a typical Monday here. Busy.
I grilled some burgers and put chipotle cheese on them when done, then on the bun with lettuce,tomato slices and raw onion. Made french fries in the deep fryer and opened a can of green beans. Probably not the healthiest but it hit the spot good!

Swamped here today, still trying to straighten out the messes that Irene created with my boss! I think he is finally underway! And I had contractors here installing a new sliding door in the family room, a new window in my bathroom and then I remembered that I was called to Jury Duty this week!!!

I have a new network printer being installed tomorrow, this should be great. No matter where the guys are as long as they are logged onto the network they can print to it! We are paying a fortune for this thing but what a great time saver! And we can set it up to save that print job and instead fax it to their office!! WooooHoooo!!!!
