I bought some Cuisinart Classic for Christmas so we could have some pans that we could clean in the dishwasher. We've been really pleased - hope you enjoy your set!

I agree, although I've never used a SMALL food processor. The large Cuisinart that I have does not uniformly grind anything. The closest thing to coffee that I have ground is dried peppers. If I were trying to make chili powder, I would first grind in the FP and then in a coffee grinder. I have 3, for some odd reason, so one is dedicated to spices. Although, it seems a little too fragile for a lot of the dried spices like coriander or pepper. Does your "little grinder" not do it uniformly? I have two like that, you just grind until you want to stop. I have one really nice one that you can set for different grinds, turn on, and it does it's thing. Give it a shot with just a small amount and see what happens. Can't hurt. You could always make camp coffee if the grind isn't right. Thanks, Marlin, for clarifying what basil balls are, lol. I was really curious. I do the same thing with basil too. Thought you had some new thing going on. :)

Great find! There is a thrift shop at the end of my alley that benefits the old folks home across the street. When items don't sell or have some damage they put them in the dumpster. Walking the dog 2-3 years ago I noticed a great looking chandelier in the box. Perfect for my dining room. Dad zoomed home to get the car as the baby was heavy (solid brass) and I stood guard with Dylan until he came back. Some guy comes out of his yard and was going to take it, but I let him know it was MINE! This guy dives in often and into the donation box also, then has a garage sale several time in the summer. My free chandelier cost me glass bulb covers and $500 for the electrician. And for kicks I checked an upscale lighting store. Same lamp was selling for $2500!

I did it online. If the website is overloaded, do it at night. I haven't received the blade yet, but yesterday I got a letter from the store I bought it from a dozen years ago. I agree that they should have a confirmation that comes up on the website for your model number not needing the replacement, but they're aware of all their models, so if yours isn't on the recall list, it's a different blade (some here have said made in a different country). I hear your frustration, but be patient. It'll be fine in the end. This is the full list of prefixes for the recalled models/series, shown on the declaration on the bottom of the motor housing. If yours isn't on this list, it isn't recalled. • CFP-9 • CFP-11 • DFP-7 • DFP-11 • DFP-14 • DLC-5 • DLC-7 • DLC-8 • DLC-10 • DLC-XP • DLC-2007 • DLC-2009 • DLC-2011 • DLC-2014 • DLC-3011 • DLC-3014 • EV-7 • EV-10 • EV-11 • EV-14 • KFP-7 • MP-14
