Not sure of a brand, but I recommend getting a black one because they don't look stained like the white ones.

We've used Bunn coffee makers for many years and have been very pleased with them. I think this is our third one in over twenty years.

We gave our friends a Cuisinart coffee maker and they love it....they say it is the best coffee maker they have ever had.
(But, of course, the only coffee makers they ever owned were the cheapest ones they could find.)

I had a GE dishwasher recalled and GE installed another GE.

My son had a Starbucks coffee maker recalled and they would only give him another of the same brand.

So before you get all excited and pick something wonderful you might want to find out if you have to stay with GE. Maybe if you're lucky they'll just refund your purchase price and you can pick what you want.

We have a Bunn, the one with the stainless carafe. Other than we have to pour it over the sink cause it drips, the coffee is great!

We have a KitchenAid 14-cup coffee maker and love it. We buy all our coffee beans from Maui Coffee Roasters (they're in Maui, Hawaii, naturally!), so we have really goooood coffee. We do have a KitchenAid ProLine burr coffee bean grinder, but it won't get put into use until the Braun burr grinder wears out (and I doubt that will happen any time soon!).

Years ago I used to use a Chemex coffee maker, and really liked, it, too.

We like our DeLonghi.

I only drink coffee with something, a sweet roll, cake, cookies or Biscotti. I drink instant Kava, it's better on my stomach and tastes great.

I guess I'm the odd one out here - Love my Farberware percolator.

I'm one that uses a cheap one. We love our Black and Decker.
Hubby always comments on how good the coffee is. And it's hot.

My parents have a Cuisinart, and I hate it. The measuring lines for the water is on the *inside* of the water reservoir and I can't see when filling it. Just give me the clear window on the side of the machine.

DH uses a Hamilton Beach. Guess he likes it just fine, as we bought the same one for DD for Christmas last year! $19.99. Me, I don't drink the stuff!

I've only had Black and Decker and Mr. Coffee; however, I don't know what's going on because none of mine can even last a year.

Found out just this morning the last Mr. Coffee quit working. My son bought this one for me in March...my first one with a timer on it even tho I never used this feature. It also has an auto shut off which I thought would make it last longer in case I forgot to turn it off. Oh well.

I hesitate to buy a more costly coffee maker as I'm starting they are all jinxed at my house. :(

I have a cheapy one. Had Bunn for years and years. I thought they were the best you could have. It broke down and then I just bought what ever was on sale. I go through a lot of coffee makers, we use it daily, 2 to 4 times a day.
My next one will be an electric percolator. Been years since I've had one and ready to try them again.

Our Krups drip coffeemaker with a thermal carafe has lasted about 12 years. (I don't want anything with a heater under the pot.) A good coffee maker has to heat the brewing water adequately. This one uses a paper filter.

On Maui I'll buy Kona beans and grind 'em. At home I like the Melita ground Columbian coffee just fine -- not as mild as Kona, but *much* less expensive. Lindsey, I may move next door to you if you're serving 100% Kona every day! LOL

The cheapest Proctor-Silex programmable I could get from Walmart a couple of years ago.

Makes passable coffee.

We have a Hamilton Beach Brew Station.Makes up to 12 cups.The kind without the carafe.Just put your cup up to the spigot and fill.It is programable but we never use that feature.We like it.I also have a Gevalia' like it at home.I like the Gevalia' better.At home I use the beans and grind the coffee myself but we drink so much here(more people)and that can get expensive.We use Folgers or Maxwelhouse here.I like some of the flavored coffee beans but DH just likes plain old coffee so I don't buy flavors very often.DD sends me a rasberry/white chocolate one sometimes.I think she gets it at K-Mart.

Sounds like most of you like your coffee just as much as I do. I was thinking of a Braun or a Cuisinart. I have heard great things about both.

I had two more great cups of coffee this morning using my Melitta cone and filter dripping directly into my mug so, I know I will live. I also found my older Farberwear Insta-perk in the basement. I even found the cord. Happy, happy Day! Both of those will do me until I can get off Cape to find a Walmart. One thing is for sure...I do not want another GE.
