last week when AVG was doing an update,I came online to find that AVG had put their tool bar and search engine on my home page(also made my home page theirs0

I managed to get rid of that tool bar,got my firefox home page back,but cannot get rid of that Yahoo search engine...I prefer google for my search tool at the top right of my page.

I am using Win XP as a program..any ideas on how to get google back?

I right clicked on my Google search engine at the top right hand side.
A listing of other engines showed up as well, and I just scrolled down and clicked Remove to the ones I didn't want.
See if that works for you.

Ditto on what jasdip said. You just select the ones you don't want.

I think the sectional is to big for the space. Maybe you could shift the sectional away from the fireplace and closer to the tv, if there’s enough room? Or do you have another room you could swap the furniture out? Not sure what to do with the tv wall. I’m a fan of leaving those blank as long as it isn’t huge. I would also consider art that is more horizontal over the fireplace, I think it would look better.

House color should probably match the siding color Romabio offers these as standard, though they can be applied in a solid color. It might be interesting to have some of your brick show through the limewash to add texture to the house. Not totally see thru but enough so that it might hide any dirt that accumulates on the surface. Maybe upgrade the garage door in the future.

Oh, I'd rather have the range -- and the cutout -- where it is instead of a big refrigerator box which would be visible from the dining room and block the view from the kitchen into the dining room. Also, you could add cabinets above and adjacent to the refrigerator at its planned location including some counter space for unloading groceries into the frig. "The major issue is a lack of storage" You could also add wall cabinets on either side of the window. "I don’t love the range at the end without counter space on the right side." How about getting a 30" range (example), adding a cabinet to the right of the range, and extending the backsplash? There's already some space between the range and the opening to the dining room you could fill. -- amateur

You might post a pic of the wall with the window. On the wall above the door beneath the window, you could leave it blank, especially if you're adding anything to the wall to the right of the window (interior side of the window). I was given a Yahoo toolbar during an update that I didn't want. I went to my start menu, delete programmes and then deleted the Yahoo tool bar. I hope this is what you needed.

I just tried all of the above,and none of it worked

in order to get rid of that search engine,I have to totally delete AVG
to do what jasdip suggested,didnt work either

I was having that problem so I got rid of AVG, I now use Microsoft security essentials. Its free and beatter the AVG

If you want to get rid of AVG, Avast is excellent. Free and thorough.

Go to the top of the page and click on VIEW.
You should see an option that says tool bars. Hold your curser over it and you get a drop down with a list of all the tool bars that have been loaded. Be sure you have a check mark in front of the ones you want -- And Not in front of the ones you don't want.

Hope that works! I use the IE browser.

I couldn't either, but did the customize thing, drug that window down out of the way. Then I moved the back, refresh and home icons to the top line and then drug the http bar up to the top and search bar got very long, I clicked on it and got rid of it. I always condense my bars at the top to two bars. That may not be very clear, but I've already forgotten if I right clicked or not. Just play with it.

I too am using FF and AVG. Anyway, I can left click on the little drop down arrow just to the left of the search box and all the search engines will show...just click on whichever one you want and that will stay as the default one until you change it.

Sorry I didn't read all the replies. I wanted to comment on MS Essential. I removed Avast because after an update, I could not play one of my games, it said it was a Trojan. I uninstalled Avast and put MS Essentials on and I like it.

Glad that worked! I just left all of them and occasionally I use the Ebay or Amazon ones.
