I had to look up the couples after you first started posting, and I saw this interview from Monet. No worries, she doesn't give anything away. But I love what she says. It really is a romantic view of mariage and that she comes out for the better (we still don't know if they stay married) in the end, tells me she's one smart lady.

At first I thought Jamie was overreacting as it was just a cigarette. But then I thought about it a bit more, and if her recollection is accurate (she may have been exaggerating) it's concerning that he would so adamantly deny it to the point where he swore on his mother's life that he didn't smoke. I do believe that is by far the bigger issue to her, and rightly so. He seems remorseful, so hopefully they can work it out.

I'm having a hard time understanding Jason. I was slightly younger than him when my mom was also dying of stage 4 lung cancer, and I know in his place I would have done whatever I could to have my mom and my spouse meet each other. It would hopefully give my mom some peace that I have someone, and it would give the spouse an idea of my wonderful mother. I don't really understand his reasoning unless it's his mother's wishes not to meet Courtney for whatever reason. In that case I would respect her wishes.

I'm kind of done with the other couple. I find them tedious and stressful to watch!

I'm a couple of weeks behind. I watch on youtube and I have used up all of my allotted gigabytes for this month. I shouldn't even be on line now....but I will catch up as soon as I get my time re-upped. :(

Rob, thanks for posting the interview. From the way Monet speaks in the interview, it sounds like she is still married. But that could be to keep things on the QT.

Chi, I agree that it seemed strange for Doug to deny smoking the way he did. Jamie touched on it in passing, that she didn't want to nag. That should have been addressed as well. The way she confronted him, he went into self defense mode.

I am interested in following these couples but I am not sure if I will keep watching with new couples. When they put out the casting call, the couple were not told that they had to marry. Now, I don't think they can keep this premise secret after this debut show.

In this world of reality television you wonder how many will do it just to be on tv. I am also wondering if the show helps pay for furnishings. Also how things are divided if they divorce.
Monet and Vaughn are the only that kept their apartments. Vaughn can move back yo NJ, but what happens with the the other two couples?

I missed most of last nights episode and didn't see any of the smoking/lying part. For some people, being a smoker is embarrassing and maybe he was afraid Jamie would judge him too harshly? But to swear on his mother's life?? Bad decision. I think Doug is worth allowing this one pass.

Do y'all think that Jason has not told his mother of the marriage so that he doesn't stress her in her weakened condition? Maybe he thinks this is too much for her right now. I have yet to see a full episode uninterrupted so maybe she does know? I am liking Courtney more than I did at first.

Vaughn and Monet... please. Just let this mistake go.

I was very disappointed in Doug, I can't believe he would lie so badly about something like that. I can understand how Jamie feels, "What else has he or will he lie about now"? I would give him another chance. Vaughn is really annoying! But, I almost think they will stay married. I love Cortney & Jason, I do hope they make it.

I don't think Jamie was overreacting. She admittedly has trust issues that are very deep rooted and we saw that pain. Doug's lie not only disrespected her, but also his mother. A very immature response on his part. I don't think it was the first time he's lied in a relationship. I like both Doug and Jamie and I truly hope they make it work. I think it will take more work on Doug's part because Jamie is so emotionally fragile. I don't see Jamie giving Doug a third chance if he messes up.

I think out of all 6 participants, Courtney is the most mature and logical. I think she and Jason have the best chance at success if he lets his guard down. Jason mentioned that nothing in his life ever turns out for the better. I wonder if he is just protecting his mom (and maybe himself) in case it doesn't work out with Courtney. After all as this is airing they are only 1 month into the marriage. I hope that Jason lets his guard down and allows Courtney to meet his mom, I think Courtney could be a great source of support to both.

Vaughn and Monet are a train wreck. Very hard to watch their segments.

I'm hooked too, but like Marilyn, I am a couple of weeks behind.
