My thoughts and prayers are with you Kathi. Don't be surprised if you get booted out quickly. I was only in for a grand total of 22 hours for a single. That is counting pre-op and post-op. It wasn't nearly as painful as I expected. I'm sure they gave me morphine in the OR but I refused it post-op as I didn't need it. A tylenol 3 did the trick for me....mind you I do have a fairly high pain tolerance. Doing the arm exercises is extremely important. The drains are a PITA but I took mine shopping in a fanny pack on my 3rd day post-op. Special prayers that your pathology report shows no spread and that you will be a long time survivor too.

Hugs to your husband. I felt that my having cancer was harder on him than it was on me.
