What you are seeing on the ceiling is a combination of the old-fashioned textured swirl pattern and the light pattern from the new light fixture. Kinda cool! The line in the floor is where the old peninsula used to be. Current plan is that contractor will patch in vinyl. (Floor was redone a year ago after dogs peeled it and we have lots of leftover material). Or we will put in new vinyl. Planning to meet with interior designer tomorrow to make decisions on backsplash and paint. Expecting that contractor will plumb sink and DW tomorrow. Range hood installation should be very soon. Pendants are here snd will be installed shortly. It's exciting!

I don't know what carrier you have but I believe that my carrier (Verizon) charges me for ring tones on my phone bill. My daughter bought a couple of ring tones and it cost her sometime like $2 or $3 for a one time charge on the bill. I know because the bill comes in my name. It's not a monthlyu charge. Have you tried your carrier's website?

If an Android phone, make sure that synchronization for that particular app is on. Look at Settings, Sync (or some similar language) to be sure that it's enabled for your mail app. If you are using Yahoo Mail, mine has been acting erratically the last few days. Multiple times during the day, it's not current. When I manually trigger a sync, it doesn't sync. I also uninstalled-reinstalled and nothing improved. I've experienced this before with the Yahoo mail app, usually every few months, and it passes. Their app is pretty crappy compared to competitors. I'd use my Gmail account more often, but I don't like the conversational layout of email threads. There are third party email apps you may want to try from the iTunes or Google Play stores, I haven't found one I like. Wait a few days, see if it gets better. In the meantime, you can bookmark the web page access to your email in your phone's browser app, that should work fine. Except you'll get no notice of incoming messages.
