CB...I think I recall it was made by Maybelline and came in a red plastic "slide-top" container with an applicator brush...anyone else remember????

Nope..that's not it! This was a liquid and came in a little bottle. I do remember the kind you're talking about. I think it was called "cake" mascara and you had to wet the little brush (that looked like a tiny toothbrush).

Oh my! You guys are reminding me how old I am!LOL I remember that mascara but haven't seen it in years.I used the cake stuff.LOL My cousin who is 10 years younger than me used the cake eyeliner that required the wet brush.They quit making that years ago too but she had some that she had been using for years.When she ran out you would have though a member of her family had died.LOL

I remember the cake mascara. Don't remember using it though. I gooogled liquid mascara and found this one CB.

I remember them and used both types way back when I was a 'hot young chick'. And would you believe that I still have a brush from the cake type and use it every day. It is great for whipping my eyebrows into place. Good grief! That thing is over 50 years old!
