Well, everything 'IS' big in Texas....

My DH was heading to Missouri to Fort Leonard Wood and had a lay over in Dallas. They were able to leave a few days early so he will be home earlier. Which is great!

He told me he and his buddies decided to have a Margarita since it had been a long time coming.

The camera flash gave him red eye. I told him if he finished that whole drink, his eyes really look like that now! LOL

We are proud of our state. Pride is big in Texas. I'm glad he got a giant marguerita. A big thanks to the men in uniform!!!

I think the writer is full of that poop herself. She is perpetuating a common myth without getting out there and gaining her own personal observations from doing her own research. I have been using horse manure for years without the problems that is claimed in the article, I could post many, many pictures of excellent produce from my garden and my worm population has been excellent up until the last drought this past summer which took it's toll on them. However, they are bouncing back now. This following statement is crap too: "Another common problem with horse manure use is that, over time, crops often start showing signs of stunting or slowed growth. Soil tests can explain why. Adding horse manure to garden soil over many years can result in the buildup of toxic levels of magnesium. Because horses have an incomplete digestion system, sometimes large nutrient residues end up in the soil. Non-water-soluble residues such as minerals can be especially troublesome, in part because symptoms of nutrient excess can mimic symptoms of nutrient deficiency. " I just got the results back from two soil tests by a reputable lab and posted the results in another thread on here for all to see. One of them shows the magnesium level as just a bit low and the other one shows it to be medium. Many who have seen some of the many pictures that I have posted would probably agree that I do not have any problems with stunted plants or produce. She probably got her paycheck for the week so all is well, but she should be regarded as a fiction writer. If she is supposed to have credentials as some sort of an expert or knowledgable person, they would be suspect to me. That is my personal opinions, experiences and observations. Bill P.

Hi Athome! Sounds like you are progressing towards a good plan. I asked a similar question when deciding on my 38"ish wide drawer stacks. Answers were slightly divided on whether they are usable or not. I did the drawers as planned and don't find them too wide. Yes, they are definitely large, but not a problem for usability. They look proportional in my space. I also have a 36" stack under my rangetop. I'm so glad I went wide. One thing you might want to think about is how you will outfit wide drawers with pulls. Will you use two small pulls? One large pull? Larger pulls can be harder to find and be more expensive. I prefer the look of one longer pull instead of two smaller ones. Having these wide drawers and some that are much narrower, I had a hard time finding pulls that came in multiple sizes to fit each drawer size in a style and finish I liked. Melissa, I haven't been in GardenWeb in a very long time - and even then, I'm usually a lurker in the Garden forums. We are starting our remodel on our kitchen, master bath and bedroom, so I wanted to see if there were any ideas out there that I could steal because it feels so overwhelming right now, trying to make the right decisions. Anyway, I wanted to tell you how much I love your step-back cabinet (I've never heard that term and I'm going to research it). It looks like it is a wonderful addition to all of the other great design ideas you've created. I love your style.

You've done your best to take care of your Dad. It's his loss now that he's closed the door to you. Bless you for continuing to try to send love his way. You do the best you can. I gained 5 pounds in water retention just looking at the salt on that Margarita. LOL!

Actually, jentx, I have seen bigger ones at some of the restaurants here! Maybe it was just a medium sized one!

I'm with Linda....if I had known, I would have been there to pay the bill!!!!! (and I am the one who NEVER buys or serves alcohol, but I would have made an exception!!)

Hopefully when I drive up to MO, Labor Day weekend, he'll know then.
I shudder to think of the traffic driving. I didn't think of the holiday until after I told him I would come up. But my oldest said he would honor us with HIS driving skills. Crossing fingers we get there in one piece. LOL
Can't back out now! ( I really wouldn't anyway) :)

I'm not a drinker so I freaked out too when I saw one of those margarita size at a local Houston Mexican restaurant. The friend that was drinking it tried to convince me that it's big but it's very diluted... (yeah, right...), and she gulped down 2 of those! Yikes!
