Hi, if you did a pony wall on the side next to the toilet you would take out some of the 42" width which I think will be ok. A Kohler cast iron sized shower pan is 36x48. The pan can give you a good idea that your space should be big enough to shower in. I have seen references that the smallest shower should be able to contain a 30" circle with in the showering area. I like the idea of a pony wall instead of a glass wall next to your toilet. I have no thoughts on the location of the shower head. The toilet should have 18" centerline to the wall. justgottabeme: That is a very sweet story about your Mom. DD seems to enjoy having my attention on her room--sometimes before she'd get annoyed when I spent so much time on "decorating." What I am doing is sifting through the myriad of choices to 1-3 choices which I think are acceptable in terms of cost, color and durability and have let her make the final choice. Having this forum as a sounding board to determine the options is very helpful, but for the most part I try to let her make the choices. The JCP rug is a tad smaller than I'd like, though bac717 brought up a good point that with JCP returns are not a problem. I may actually work from the chair fabric backwards and see which fabric she chooses then choose the opposite color for the rug since we have two options. One concern I have with the dotted fabrics is that they are all 100% cotton--and perhaps not the most durable choice for the seat cushion. terilyn, those tiny bitty babies are often just fine, they are so well protected by their mom in an early healthy pregnancy. Of course you wish he/she hadn't been subjected to anything that caused Mom trauma, but please don't worry needlessly. The pregnancy is intact, hopefully that means no issues to womb or baby.... Think positively. And try to get some rest, you've got to be running on adrenalin still ((((((for your whole family)))))

Thank you all, and thank you Dyhgarden. Yes, I agree. My heart hurts for him and his dibilitating head injury. But, he was former military, big, stocky, mid-thirties, and able to own and drive a car. So, in my mind (and others) it was possible that he could have harmed her. He didn’t. He abided the police order and I’m so thankful for that. I’ll keep him in my prayers for his recovery and a happy life, though.
