I like mahi mahi (also called dolphin, dophinfish and dorado) and halibut, both of which I grill. I try to keep an eye on the NOAA Fishwatch site to make sure that I don't use fish that is being overfished or endangered.

Salmon grilled with olive oil , pepper and sea salt. Eat it at least once a week.

Have never had Walleye. Would love to try it. Haven't had trout in forever! Love catfish, but can only get it "farmed" up here. Would love fresh. Cod and tilapia I use for fish and chips. Loved grilled or baked salmon. Love halibut. Haven't had it in ages. I sprinkle a little EVOO in the bottom of a skillet, put a thick layer of onions over the bottom of the pan, lay halibut on top of the onions, cover and slowly steam the (seasoned) halibut over the onions on low heat. Very moist and tasty.

I LOVE seafood and we eat alot of fresh & local caught, living here in orlando! i have salmon twice a week, once grilled and once stuffed w crabmeat. it is easy for me when DH isn't home, healthy, doesn't take long etc... I also love mahimahi, red snapper, halibut (not common here), high quality Tuna (usually ahi). We also eat alot of fresh shrimp, scallops, crabs, and oysters in season. I am obsessed w Walleye, I have it whenever I am up in Chicago. I grew up eat lake perch in Chicago but it is not as good as I remember from my childhood days :-/

I will not ever eat Tillapia or catfish LOL they are bottom feeders...eww! Tillapia specifically are used to eat fish poop at the bottom of aquaculture farms, we even use them at our landscape nursery ponds to eat the debris & junk and keep the intake pipes cleared. ~ liz

No farmed fish for me.
As far as i'm concerned, melter butter and fresh lemon juice on all water creatures.

Lightly breaded and fried FRESH walleyed pike. I always ordered it when I had a meeting in Minn.

Also love broiled trout with Lemon juice.

Grilled Pacific Salmon - when I had a work in Oregon, always ordered it.
Second favorite is cold water North Atlantic salmon.

Shellfish - must also be cold water.
Boiled lobster w/just butter and lemon
Boiled crabs fresh from the Chesapeake bay . Years ago, then DH and his brother would driive down to Delaware in the morning, and BIL's wife and I sat home and had the water boiling when they got home. Reallll good eating.

Also like raw clams and fried oysters(had them for supper last night.

I'm sitting here, a block from the beach I want my seafood - the heck with cows and pigs.

I like most fish, but not salmon, only salmon in a can. My favorite is Orange Roughy.

I think it depends on where you live. Here in Florida my favorites are monk fish, Key West grunt, and mako shark. (You have to soak that shark in milk or buttermilk though.) We eat cod and halibut. Turbot is good, but I can't find it anymore.

If we go north/midwest, I have to have walleye, Have to!! Also like rainbow trout in the GA/NC mountains and if I ever make it to the NW, I will have fresh salmon every day I can. If we went to the NE, I'd have fresh cod a lot, too.

Most of the fish we like is very mild and white.

We should all get together and have a big fish fry!

Fried snapper fingers at a particular restaurant are so fresh and delicious

Baked Greek snapper is a tie with the above.

We love halibut, salmon, tuna and snapper. Usually bake it. Make my own tartar sauce and dill sauce. Sides vary.

Glenda, do you have a recipe for the Baked Greek Snapper? If so, I would love to see it posted here.

Amberjack but only the prime cuts. Nice an white. If it's brownish gray I don't buy it. Those are not prime cuts and not tasty.

Mahi Mahi, Salmon & Tuna- fresh, never canned.

Tilapia. If your tilapia is fishy it either wasn't fresh or wasn't Tilapia. It does not taste fishy.

Cod, bass and crappie.

My favorite fish is flounder.

I like Salmon, and some of the very meaty white fish like cod, halibut but halibut is like gold here..16 to 24 a pound...I don't like the taste of taiipia and swai and the imported fish that are supposed to taste like catfish ..Heck I don't even like catfish...I like orange roughy but honestly good fish is hard to come by deep in the heart of TX..

I'm a catfish lover!

My ex could eat a whole catfish and when he finished you could frame the skeleton on a wall plaque cause they were so clean :o)

And he sure could fry up a mess of crappie!

Broiled Mahi Mahi with Remoulade Sauce

Ingredients:
1 lb Mahi Mahi filet (Plan for about 1/3 lb per person.)
2 Tbsp Remoulade sauce (see below)

Preheat oven to 425 deg F on broil setting

Cut fish into serving portions by slicing through fish, but not through skin.

Place on baking pan and slather liberally with the remoulade sauce.

Place under broiler, cook for about 10 minutes. (If the top starts getting too brown, move to a lower rack in the oven)

My Remoulade sauce recipe is adapted from a Mark Bittman recipe, it can be made well in advance and be stored in the refrigerator:

Remoulade Sauce
* 1 cup mayonnaise
* 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
* 2 Tbsp chopped capers
* 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 1 Tbsp dried parsley)
* 1 tsp crushed garlic
* 1 pinch of dried tarragon
* 1 1/2 tsp Anchovy paste
* 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
* 1/4 teaspoon paprika (for color)

I like tilapia. It is one of the mildest fish out there, imo. Not fishy at all. I like to buy the parmesean crusted bags of tilapia at walmart. Also the breaded flounder. But trout is by far my favorite.

Favorite fish catfish, but not farm raised, and really good hush puppies!

Shellfish: must be warm water.
Salmon : worst fish ever, leaves me with dry mouthed, like alum.
Grouper: if nice thick fresh filets
Shrimp: not farm raised
Crab, scallops, clams, mussels
I live in Florida and unless you mortgage the house, fish yourself, or are independently wealthy, you just can not get fresh seafood.

I'm not much of a seafood eater. I like salmon well enough, but my favorite is the "macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi" as served at the Tidepools restaurant at the Grand Hyatt on Kauai. Yum.

One fish I will absolutely not eat is tilapia. I don't like farm raised fish and I don't like fish from Asia. That said, I don't like fishy fish, or salmon or tuna or swordfish. I will eat freshwater catfish....if it has been fileted properly. There in an oily layer under the skin, and that ruins the taste of it. I like red snapper and flounder. Fresh water fish like bass and crappie. The only fish I will ever buy is sometimes farm raised (USA) catfish. We have a friend who has a snapper boat and we get red snapper from him. Flounder from our boat, and any other fish we eat are fish that my husband catches. I like shrimp and crab....eat those off of our boat. I like oysters and my husband will either open them or buy them from someone he knows who has an oyster house and can get them very fresh. Our boat has an oyster license but he doesn't oyster with it.

They sell more mahi mahi on Maui than could possibly be caught in all of Hawaii. (Mystery fish?) My favorite out there is ono in a fish taco.

My favorite was swordfish, broiled, with butter and lemon -- part of a Shore Dinner in RI. Now we're not supposed to eat those big ole fish because they've absorbed too much mercury. Sigh.

No 'bottom feeding' fish for me! Not even confident about the mollusks that filter the seawater anymore.

I generally don't like fish. It's the bones and the "fishy" taste. I like seafood like crabs,shrimp,lobster. Oh and canned tuna.

Talapia is one fish that makes me sick to my stomach. I have tried it several times. Last week is the last time I will try it. It also has some kind of an odd taste to me.

jannie -- You might like halibut. As a child I was finicky about things like the 'silk' on an ear of corn -- and fish bones. Halibut has a mild flavor and few bones. For years, all the fish my mother served was "Halibut". LOL (Swordfish steak is another mostly bone-free option.)

Love good fresh catfish. Years ago my dh worked with a guy whose brother had a catfish farm in Mississippi. Twice a year he would bring a truck load of fresh filets up to Michigan. The fish was all pre-ordered by the co-workers at this GM plant.
It was the freshest, best tasting fish. We always got 10 pounds each time. I have tried buying catfish in local markets. It isn't fit to eat.

Also love salmon, but I will not buy any that has been to China if I know about it. Why it is caught in Alaskan waters, then shipped to China for processing I don't understand.

Used to get Grouper and Bluefish every chance we got, but I haven't seen either offered anywhere in years.

I like crappie - provided I don't need to filet it.

Haddock, must be a New England fish. I don't see it mentioned anywhere but it is my favorite.
